Pros: very clean, quiet, nice location. People very friendly and helpful until you become a resident.Cons: Communication from the staff is almost nonexistent. Ignored all of my emails and phone calls just asking for general information. Even when I was in the actual building, I could not find anyone to help me or answer a question. The receptionist in the front office even was missing.
One star is too many!!! My Mom has been in FMN since 7/31/2020. She has fallen six time that we know of, resulting in two hospital stays. The first fall, my Mom fractured her neck. They have not followed the doctors orders to wear a neck brace. They ordered a psych evaluation and continue to drug her vs. managing her care. They are totally non responsive to phone calls, text messages or emails. The phone system is spotty at best and very little cell phone coverage within the facility. So with Covid, no visitors, but with the phone issues, you can’t even speak with your loved one. They “packed” her extra belongings when they moved her from a one bedroom in independent living to a studio in assisted living. Literally her extra belongings were dumped into boxes. The customer service is so awful. When I expressed concern over the lack of communication throughout the weekends, I was told by the Executive Director “I have a life outside of here”! Tonight, I spent 15 minutes trying to talk to someone in charge ~ nothing!! My Mom now has to spend another night in the hospital because no one is there to facilitate her coming “home”! September 17th can’t came fast enough when we get my Mom out of there, hopefully in one piece and not all drugged up. We have spent thousands of dollars for this awful care. Incredibly sad, frustrating, and simply unacceptable!!!
I have two parents at FMN...Mom in Independent Living and Dad in the Bridge to Resdiscovery. The level of care that my folks receive is second to none. My folks are treated respectfully and their every need is addressed in a timely and efficient manner. One thing that FMN recently brought into play was the use of Zoom visitations during this very unusual time of social distancing. While Mom is quite adept at using her cell phone to keep in touch, visiting with Dad became non-existent until FMN started the Zoom visits. This has made all the difference for me, and I'm sure for the limited time that he remembers, for Dad as well. Thank you to all the staff at FMN for your tireless efforts and unfailing dedication to our aging population. You will be rewarded in heaven for sure.
I have been working with Foulk Manor North on a professional level for 5 years now. We too have clients that reside there. Whether I am stopping by to drop off brochures or a gift, to say a quick hello, attend an event, etc. the staff is very engaging and makes everyone feel as though they are a part of the community.
I have jointly worked with the staff and leadership to take care of multiple residents. They provide exceptional care and do everything possible to bring all available resources to the residents. Communication with everyone involved in the circle of care is excellent. I would send my own family here.
As a senior care professional I am truly amazed at the friendliness and caring staff from the receptionist, the support aides, dietary, and the management team. This facility really cares about their residents, it has a real community feel. This a place to recommend to families looking for a place for their aging loved ones.
The staff at Foulk Manor North go above and beyond to make your loved ones feel like they are at home. Recently there was a Easter brunch for the families of the residents and I called two hours before and added 2 more to my reservation and Warren head of Dining was able to add them. Not to mention the buffet was amazing.
I recently admitted my parents to Foulk Manor North. The process was seamless, and Micah Terry was amazing to work with. He was prompt with replies and went out of his way to assist us in this process. Janet, Laurie, and Valerie have been amazing and helpful as well. All of the nurses, aides, and maintenance staff have also been friendly and helpful. It is so comforting when people are nice, and everyone in this facility has been incredible. I would highly recommend Foulk Manor North.
I can not recommend Foulk Manor North enough. I am proud to call Micah Terry (their amazing Director of Sales & Marketing) a close friend now, as we share the common vision of a world where senior living = seniors THRIVING! You can trust that your loved ones are in safe, trusted hands with Micah and the rest of the compassionate staff at Foulk Manor North. They really go above & beyond to ensure every resident knows they are respected and loved, and the atmosphere is so comforting. Thanks Micah & Foulk Manor North!
Moving someone you love from their home of many years into a new place to spend the reminder of their lives can be frightening and overwhelming. I can't say anything but wonderful thing about Foulk Manor North! Micah Terry, the Sales and Marketing Director, has been beyond helpful and most of all kind and very friendly to work with. The staff already feel like they are a part of our family. Everyone we've met has been so helpful, especially the day we moved my Mom into the Independent Living Apartments at Foulk Manor North. It's a pleasure to come visit Mom and also to leave knowing she is safe, respected and loved by the staff that work there. Foulk Manor North is a blessing to our family.
