Awful place. Family member was there for over a month from a fall. Ended up with open wounds which the wound care team insisted were being checked regularly and were healing nicely. As her condition deteriorated, I had transferred to the hospital to her medical team. Within an hour of arriving I was contacted and told she had multiple open wounds that were bleeding and severely infected. She was diagnosed with Mercer and had to undergo multiple procedures. She has been in the hospital for 2 months now and has yet to fully recover. It's my understanding that when Excel was notified of the findings, their biggest concern was if the Family had been notified. While some of the nursing and rehab staff are truly nice, it is evident that the facility is SEVERELY understaffed and management is very good at nodding their heads in "understanding & sympathy"; clearly rehearsed for show and empty.
