My step-father lived at Encino Terrace Senior Living for about four years until recently when he passed away at age 100. He loved it there for good reason. The entire staff is professional and caring. The home is very clean and the food is outstanding. I highly recommend this wonderful place. The sense of caring comes from all the staff. Just an outstanding place.
We had 3 loved ones at Vintage Encino Hills at the same time. One for over 2 years and 2 for nearly 4 years. The staff consists of dedicated people who have been there for a long time. The med techs are amazing and the executive staff will work with you regarding the needs of your loved ones. My mother-in-law and my mother both considered Vintage their home and they were able to stay there until the end. Being in assisted living can be a very difficult time for our seniors. However, Vintage was able to help to make the transition as painless as possible.
We have a dear friend that didn't think that a senior living community would be something he could ever consider. Because of demanding health care needs we wanted him to be closer to us in case he really needed outside help. We looked at several places that would be a good fit for him. He was quite hesitant in checking this place out. But, because of all of the kind and sincere attention that Karlos Richardson extended to him for every question, task, assistance with coordinating health care services from the South Bay to the Encino our friend was sold on this wonderful haven. Karlos made sure that the staff also knew who our friend was so he would never feel he was left out of anything. Karlos was so diligent that he was calling me or my husband on his day offs, and during his vacations. He always went through a check list of all that we needed to do, and it was always taken care of to the tee.Everything Karlos promised our friend and us was no less than perfectly met. The only reason why I am giving 4 stars is that Karlos was let go from this facility. I have no idea why; but, I do know that Vintage just lost a huge asset from their team. After sleeping on my comment, I thought a little more. I am really going to disappointed if our friend is side stepped because Karlos is not there. Karlos although only there for a few months definitely knew how to read people and their needs. I am not just talking about our friend and us. I am talking about the rest staff that worked at Vintage and people that worked outside of Vintage. He was able to get our friend moved from the South Bay area, get a bed bought for our friend, and make sure he was always accommodated.
I LOVE Atria Encino Terrace Senior Living! My mother has been living there for 5 years and she was only expected to live 3 months prior to her arrival. She is now 95 years old and doing remarkably well. Atria's excellent staff are the reason for her prolonged life. My mother's quality of life has grown exponentially since moving to Atria Encino Terrace. The many activities, delicious meals, and superior personal service are the reason why. I have to say it again, I LOVE Atria Encino Terrace Senior Living!!!
I have been working with the staff and residents of Vintage Encino since 2011.In all those years the staff have always been friendly and respectful to me.I know tenants of Vintage Encino who are long time residents and share with me that they are very happy to call VE their home. The community is always clean, and you can never visit any of the three stories without coming across a person that is not smiling. Their admin and medical staff always look out for the best interest of the residents health and safety.Very classy and cozy community located walking distance of businesses and shopping stores in beautiful Encino. I truly recommend this place highly.
I've been a private companion for a resident who has lived hear for 2 years now. He loves it. They have daily activities and take residents on fun outings. Because this is a smaller community, both the residents and staff feel more like a close knit family than anything. The staff work hard to keep the residents happy.
Vintage Encino has caring staff who go above and beyond for their residents. As of 2013, I have not seen an issue with any pest. So that appears to have been taken care of. They have very good gourmet food and a cafe that is open for 24 hours that has complimentary snacks. The prices are very good for being in a prime location.
Recently, a good friend of mine needed to find a new senior residence home for her mother. She was in another facility that she disliked so much, she was always trying to leave. She looked into Vintage Senior Living on the advice of a friend in the business. The community was small and intimate, and the vibe in the place was terrific. As it turns out, it was less expensive than her prior home. Her mother has now moved in and loves it. The chef is amazing, the staff extremely friendly, and the facility clean and cosy. In fact, I was somewhat surprised to see the negative review already posted when I went to write this one. It seems things have definitely improved in the last year.Perhaps it takes knowing someone who actually lives there and is happy to really understand a place. The rooms could be bigger, and entertainment better, but improvementa are happening in the entertainment area already, so I am sure it will get better. You can see the efforts being made, and the residents being appreciated that their voices are heard.Definitely should check this place out if you are looking for a good place for your parents and loved ones.
This last summer my 96-year-old mother spent two weeks at Encino Terrace Senior living so that I could attend a family wedding out of state. The executive director, Irma, kindly met with us 3 times before my mom actually started her stay. Irma was warm and welcoming and set the tone for her amazing staff and caregivers. Everyone at the facility - nurses, caregivers, administrators, activity coordinators, kitchen staff and maintenance - was so kind and companionate and attentive! My mother’s room was clean and cozy and comfortable. She enjoyed the dining experience: three meals with a varied menu always served by a smiling, upbeat waitstaff. The daily activities kept my mom engaged and interactive. I cannot express enough my gratitude for the kindness and caring that was provided for my mother. I highly recommend this venue and know that we will be using their services again in the future.
It was quit a stressful task to look for a new senior home for my friend’s grandmother, her current senior home was poorly run and she wasn’t happy and that was on top of all the challenges this past year with COVID ,we felt like the move must be done soon. I looked at a few places but the moment I met the Rafi and the crew at Encino terrace senior living ,I felt at home and knew this was the place for her! Every time I visit I’m greeted by gracious and happy people , I could tell right away that everyone working there is experienced and well trained and above all I get the feeling of coming home to my family which is how I would like to live when I get to that stage .They go above and beyond to make the tenants feel comfortable and cater to their needs , this is definitely the home for your loved ones, I’m so relieved knowing my friend is in good hands !!
I couldn't be more pleased with the way the staff at Atria takes care of my 93 year old mother. She has been there for a year, and what a year it's been! It was not more than a week after she moved in when Covid hit. I hadn't seen my mother in 17 months when I finally got to CA last week from NY. Throughout the year, Irma, the Director has been incredibly responsive to my calls and emails. They had a Covid breakout AFTER initial vaccines were administered and as bad as it was for the residents, the staff's experience was also scary and had to have been horrific. But Mom came through it and we are very grateful for the care she got from the staff. It is clear that every staff member there cares about every resident. When you're there, even as a visitor, you feel like family. I cannot say enough to describe my gratitude that we chose Encino Terrace for my mother's assisted living experience. (And if longevity proves anything about a facility, one of the residents just turned 107!) Thank you all - over and over - for looking out for my Mom!
My father moved into Encino Terrace a couple of weeks ago and from day one I have been overwhelmed by the show of kindness from the staff. They have gone above and beyond to get to know him, make him feel welcomed, and help ease his transition and the family’s. Before his arrival, management did an excellent job educating staff on his needs, as evidenced by the incredible caregivers who didn’t miss a beat. Since then, the staff has made great efforts to learn what my dad’s interests are and engage him in numerous activities. They’ve even empowered him to lead his own classes! Every staff person takes the time to engage, have a conversation, and laugh with my dad, clearly demonstrating that the physical and mental wellbeing of residents are equal priorities. It may sound cliché to say that Encino Terrace treats their residents like family, but it’s quickly proven to be true. I already see significant improvements in my dad’s quality of life, and I look forward to watching him thrive even more in the coming months and years.
I looked at many senior living homes for my almost 101 year old mom, when I moved her to LA to be near me. The reason I selected Atria Encino Terrace is because it was a smaller, more intimate environment that felt like a "home." I was also impressed with the staff. when I first met them. My mom has now been living at Encino Terrace for 1-1/2 years and I have never regretted my decision. Encino Terrace is a caring environment where my mom's emotional and physical needs are met. It provides daily activities in which she can participate, three meals a day, daily room cleaning, laundry service, social gatherings and most important a staff that is professional, caring, and tends to every issue... and believe me, at 100+ there are issues!! I can't be with my mom 24/7, so it is important for me to know that she is safe and well cared for. At Encino Terrace, I know she is.
My mom has been living at Encino Terrace for a few years now. Ivan, Irma, Jennifer, Natalie, and the current in-house staff are so kind and helpful to my Mom. She’s been through a lot health wise, but otherwise this group of professionals have made her comfortable and safe during this very fragile time of her life. I’m very thankful for the help they’ve given me, one of which is peace of mind.
I visit many facilities in SFV, Tarzana, Encino area and by far Encino Terrace is the most welcoming facility!! The receptionist will greet you with a smile as soon as you enter the door after being stuck in that ventura blvd traffic. The facility is very clean and smells good all the time!!! The Administrator Erma is very entertaining and happy which reflects to her employees and residents! The Director of nursing Ivan is very knowledgeable to what he does and talks highly of his caregivers! Visit Encino Terrace, you will see happy faces of employees and residents! —Jessica M.
Atria Senior Living is a great place for your love ones to live. The staff is very friendly, easy to work with and they are on top of all of the important matters that are necessary for the residents well-being. Irma and Ivan are really knowledgeable and experienced in the care of senior residences. The facility is clean and the food is great! My Mother has been there for 10 years now, and she loves living there. I would highly recommend Atria Senior Living to anyone wanting to move a love one into an assisted living community.Thank you, Paul Condran
My mother has been a resident of encino terrace for the past three years. My mother has received excellent care. The staff (and management ) are all very kind and understanding. I in fact I would use the word "love" in terms of how warm and caring they have been to my mother. They are very committed to maintaining her independence but also to make sure she is safe. I live out of town and when I leave after a visit to my mom, its very reassuring knowing she is in good hands. My mom enjoys the social activities. Because the facility is relatively small it feels like a family. I have the utmost confidence in Encino Terrrace and would recommend it highly.
I have worked at Encino Terrace Senior Living for almost 2 years now, and I can say its the best place I have yet to work at. Before coming to work at Encino Terrace I worked at a different senior home and it does not compare to where I work at now, the staff is amazing from management to co-workers. Irma, the executive director is an excellent head for the team, she is always available if you have any concerns or comments as well as the rest of management, they all make sure everyone's voice is heard, and do their best to make the necessary accommodations. As far as co-workers they all lend a hand whenever and wherever its needed. You feel as if you have a little family here. The residents are all sweet, kind, and caring. You don't wake up feeling dragged to come to work, instead you come with a smile and happy to know the place you work at is great.
Encino Terrace has been a Godsend for my father. Since day one, the staff has been nothing but caring, courteous, and professional. I don't feel they talk down to the residents, yes, sometimes they speak a little louder and repeat things, but that's because some are harder of hearing. The dining room meals are a highlight of the day for my father. He likes the food, and I have eaten with him many times and I feel the food is nutritious, tasty, and healthy. If a person doesn't like what the options are, they can always request a sandwich or go to the salad bar. His safety is paramount to me, and the caregivers and managers are on top of everything. Even the littlest things they call to my attention to make sure my dad is safe. And I would say it's a two way street, if the residents and their families are courteous and reasonable with the staff, they will respond in kind. Irma, the director, runs a very tight ship, and I have always had expedient follow-up with any concerns I have had. They are going through a remodel right now, and I can't wait to see the newly redone facility. Yes, there have been some negative aspects that come with any construction, such as noise, but it really has been kept to a minimum, and they are almost done. There are quite a variety of activities, and residents can or opt not to participate, but they always are encouraged to try. I also feel you do get value for your money. To me and my family, you can't put a price on peace of mind and safety for your loved one. As with most things, the more you communicate with them, the better things are.
I have been entertaining @ Encino Terrace for the residents for the last 5 years with my Interactive DJ Oldies Show. In that time I have gotten to see first hand how Julia the Activities Director interacts with the residents. How impressed I am how she loves to dance with them, sing with them and make sure they are happy and having fun. I have also recently gotten to work with Irma the Executive Director for the employee holiday party and how committed she is to making sure her staff is rewarded for their hard work. The party she through for them was fabulous.
My parents have lived in Encino Hills for 2 1/2 years. Although my father has now passed away, my mother is still there and loves it. They have recently remodeled earlier in the year and its beautiful! There is another entry about roaches and I have not ever seen them, but I know they have a regular service that comes in to maintain. The facility is very clean and the staff are like our family. The meals are wonderful and the dining room is open all day long, they have several A+ professional chefs on staff and the best and most polite waitstaff. You really need to go and check this out if you are looking for a place to live or a place for your family.
