We strive to provide top-notch care and support so that you can feel confident in your decision.Assisted Living
Assisted Living is a perfect blend of Nursing Home and Independent Living facility. Specifically, Assisted Living provides apartment-like living quarters with the assistance needed for mostly functional seniors. The type of assistance we offer includes help with meals, medication and housekeeping, plus the peace of mind that someone is there to check in on you and make sure everything is okay.Rehabilitation
The fundamental network facilities are constantly striving to improve functional capabilities, promote independent living, and enhance the overall quality of life for rehabilitation patients. Rehabilitation services take a comprehensive and interdisciplinary approach to treatment because physical disability rarely just affects one aspect of an individual's well-being. The effects of disability can be far-reaching, touching everything from emotional and psychological health to employment and lifestyle.Skilled Nursing
Nursing homes are often used as a generic catchall phrase for any type of long-term care. There are many types of care facilities, each providing a different level of comprehensive care. A nursing home is one type of facility that offers a very specific level of care. The level of care at nursing homes has increased significantly over the years. Although nursing homes are typically known for providing care to the elderly, some have now begun to specialize in serving younger populations who are at risk due to developmental disabilities, debilitating illnesses, or addiction.Price Comparison

This is the worst place to ever put your loved one! All we have had is trouble with the staff and the administration. We are diligently looking for a place to move our loved one and as soon as we can find one, she is out of here. The care is terrible, the staff can't give medications correctly on a regular basis, they can't seem to change the beds regularly, they can't adhere to the menu they give out to the residents therefore the resident very seldom gets what they ask for from the menu, and the administration gets vindictive if you report them to the state. Our vehicle got towed from the front of the building within 10 minutes of parking it to go in & pick up our loved one to take her to our house for a visit & for dinner since she didn't like what they had given her. Before we could get back to the car, they had towed it. If you have any other choices, please don't put your family member in this place. Don't put yourself or your family member though the hell this administration dishes out.
for anyone with a family member or planning to place a family member re-think your decision. She was unable to see and they would deliver her meals and just leave them, she would try to eat with her fingers, her nails would get so dirty and this was addressed so many times and we were told that they were not allowed to leave her food if she needed someone to feed her, however they continued to leave her food with no one feeding her. She had a bed sore and on 2 different occasions we had to take her to er and both times they found dried feces in her bed sore. On a Friday my sister addressed how dirty her nails were due to her trying to eat with her fingers, Saturday we came in to visit and her nails had been cut so short they had cut her finger, then tried to say it was not them and it did not show in her chart that anyone cut her nails, now keep in mind my mom have very limited use of her arms or hands. the staff is extremely rude and has no compassion for their patients, we found her bottom teeth in her diaper which shows they had not changed her diaper in quite awhile. The nursing team was extremely loud, used very foul language very loudly, would be sitting in guest chairs out in the hallway just talking and others would take a smoke break quite often. There is no way I can say enough about the lack of care she received, but I will take as much time as I need to ensure I include everything when I file a claim with the state of texas. for the grace of god he called her home before we had to return her to this god forsaken place
I am absolutely floored on the lack of Customer Service relations I have received from this nursing home. Michael Ballew did a decent job of answering questions and showing me around. However he never answered my specific question of, “How many Spanish speaking co-workers do you have on staff?” My mother has been diagnosed with Dementia. It was explained by her Neurologist that she will lose all the English she has learned and revert back to only Spanish eventually when her disease progresses to its fullest state. Michael only answered my question in a vague manner. Ada Taylor was next in line to do an evaluation. After it was concluded she made the statement, “All I need to get your mom into our facility is a confirmation of my mother having Dementia” – which I provided. Come to find out, that was Not good enough either… Now comes along Robin North… From the very first moment I spoke with her I could hear the bitterness she has in her tone over the phone and then again I heard it in person. It felt like she was intentionally trying to upset me to Stop the Process of getting my mother into this facility. I have no doubt about this because Robin smiled at me when I told her, "I no longer wish to pursue placing my mother into this facility."Robin North - I have never been spoken to in such a disrespectful manner in my whole life. How dare you interrupt me every time I speak, then have the audacity to get upset with me when I do it to you. If I was part of your HR team trying to have a conversation with you and you acted like this, you would be Fired on the spot for your lack of compassion and being unprofessional. I have a feeling that is exactly what you are trying to do.I spent weeks wasting my time bending over backwards to get information to Edgewood they said they were incapable of getting themselves. This was the only place I was willing to send my mother that I found in Mesquite. All others were worse than this place. Another important thing I did notice about Edgewood was - every time someone told me how much it costs to have a love one spend a month in this facility it was always a different answer... I have no doubt that I and mainly my mother dodged a huge bullet with this place. Do your loved one and yourself a huge favor, find another long term care facility outside of Mesquite. Most Important Point of All (I believe this was Racially Motivated) - There is only 1 resident in the entire long term facility that speaks Spanish… My mother was going to be her roommate. I have a feeling that the lack of Spanish speaking co-workers was going to be an issue and someone decided to make sure we lost interest in placing my mother in Edgewood. Otherwise these issues would have been found out first hand and the BBB and APS would have gotten involved - two government agencies that would have been implementable at placing a foot up Edgewood’s staff. If your loved one speaks mostly Spanish I would look somewhere else. Edgewood is Not properly staffed to support Spanish residents.
The worst place I ever seen they can't keep workers they always have attitudes when asking questions are needing something no communication are understanding by far the worst management I wouldn't seen my worst enemy there the only nice person there is The administrator and Diane in human resources I will never come back
Saved my life. Got COVID and could no longer get around. Hospital sent me here. I was well taken care of. Nice nurses and therapy helped me get to walking again. You even get visitors as long as they have negative COVID test. Without test you do NOT even get in the building. I felt safe and will go back if I ever need a place like them again. Thank you.
The clinical team is highly skilled. Therapy was very patient and motivating. My experience was very good here. Everyone was very realistic with me and the goals set for my treatment. I have been to others in Mesquite and this is my choice if I ever need skilled nursing care again.
Edgewood is very unprofessional. They discharged my husband and he was so constipated he was miserable..As soon as he got home, I had to send him by ambulance to the hospital.because he was in so much pain. He said, they didn't help him much and the food was awful. I give the place a 1 star rating.
Edgewood is very unorganized, meaning no 2 employees will provide the same information. On my Moms released date, I had left clothes for her but yet the facility do not put clothes on her nor any socks and it was very cold. Upon pickup, my Mom smelled horrible, they had not cleaned/bathe her and she had feces stuck to her bottom. Medicare had paid for a new wheelchair for my Mom but the facility sent my Mom home in one of there used wheelchairs. I would call and call and they would barely answer the phone. This facility is hiding behind Covid, meaning the other negatives are hidden.
Our first experience at Edgewood facility was a nightmare for my husband and I. My husband was taking there by ambulance as I follow close behind, when making it inside the first doors as I tried getting through the second doors they Would not let me in until my husband told them he was not staying that’s when I was able to go in. My husband had surgery on both of his feet’s they allowed one to hit the floor as they move him from one bed to the other. He had the hardest time getting medical and what was giving my husband didn’t touch his pain.
