Iris Memory Care is a wonderful community conveniently located off George Bush in Rowlett. They have a heart for seniors and specialize in caring for those affected by Alzheimer’s and Dementia. They provide some wonderful amenities and services that focus on the personal needs of each resident. Every time I walk in, I receive a warm welcome from all the staff. When you walk in their community, the environment is warm, welcoming and the residents look happy. It’s a happy home environment filled with caring staff, fun interactive activities, delicious meals, fun family events, community events and so much more. They welcome you to stop by anytime for a visit.
I feel blessed to be able to partner with the staff at Iris Memory Care for the Alzheimer's Association's The Longest Day campaign. As a committee member I get to see their passion for what they do & how they go above and beyond for their residents and to help raise community awareness.
We moved my mother-in-law to Iris after a bad experience at another memory care facility. They really worked with us to make her move go smoothly. I can’t believe the difference! Everyone who works at Iris is cheerful and caring. My MIL is happy and well cared for. The single hall is much easier for her to navigate. She really enjoys the food. Iris has been a Godsend for our family.
Love, love this wonderful community filled with sweet and dedicated staff and caregivers who provide excellent care and attention to detail!! There are always fun activities to participate in, comfy chairs to cozy up in, and something tasty cooking in the kitchen!! Come and check it out for yourself - visitors are always welcome, and you will be treated like one of the family!!
Iris Memory Care of Rowlett is a Gem just off of George Bush Turnpike and Miller Rd. near Lake Ray Hubbard. Our son in high school was welcomed by the Director to provide volunteer service for Iris Memory Care residents, paired together as buddies for the day. Our son served lunch, played games, and monitored the safety of his resident. He gained so much from this experience. I give praises to Elizabeth for her kindness and genuine care of the family members. First Tuesday of the month, a caregivers support group where new information is shared by an expert. I have learned more about Dementia/Alzheimers and left after each meeting feeling more confident with my parents care. Highly recommend Iris memory care.
After a terribly bad experience at another memory care facility, we moved a family member here and have been very pleased with her care. The staff from top to bottom has showed nothing but love and care for her. Every time we go visit we are impressed with everyone and how they love each of their residents. Without hesitation we can recommend Iris Memory Care to anyone with loved ones needing that special care.
The team at Iris have been working together for several years! This is a testament to the success they have seen in caring for and retaining their residents! I’ve watched this team build Iris from Construction to the present and they only keep growing in their programs and their abilities as a team!
As a nurse who travels all around the metroplex to care for my patients, I can with confidence speak to the quality of care given by each facility I visit. Iris is by far the best memory care unit/assisted living I’ve visited and worked with. If I needed to place a loved one in memory care, I would choose Iris. The staff are all so caring, from the aides all the way up to the administrator. Each member of the staff, no matter their role, takes a hands-on, family-oriented approach to each resident. The residents KNOW they are safe and loved. I’ve cared for several patients there (I work for an outside agency) and each of the families have always been beyond pleased with the care their loved ones receive. Never heard one complaint. And the residents I visit there are always well-cared-for and feel at home. I love visiting there, too! Everyone is so friendly and always has a smile. ❤️Oh, and they are always helping in the community and with organizations like the Alzheimer’s Association. They go above and beyond!!
My mother has been at Iris Memory Care Rowlett since the day they opened their doors, and it has been a wonderful experience! The caring, dedicated staff, delicious food options, super fun activities, community outings, and well-kept facilities at Iris has made all the difference in my mom's care. It gives me great comfort and piece of mind knowing that she is in the best place possible for this season in her life. Many, many thanks to Jeanie and her staff for their continuing fight for and outstanding support of those needing memory care services!!
I have never known of a nursing facility that does so much to keep the residents active while engaging their minds. They have an OUTSTANDING activity department. Each resident is recognized on their birthday with a personalized card and refreshments. They do a lot of crafting encouraging the residents to actively participate. They even bake cookies! I am a retiree of AT&T and belong to the AT&T Telephone Pioneers. For the past three years, we have budgeted money to help finance the activities. We believe it is money well spent.
I have helped with a few events in the past at Iris Memory Care of Rowlett and was beyond impressed with how they treat their residents and staff members. When they host events, the money retained is donated to the Alzheimer's Association to help find a cure! The kindness and compassion that goes into every small detail is so heart warming. The community itself is gorgeous. The layout is perfect for Dementia patients. I definitely recommend Iris Memory Care of Rowlett to anyone looking for a great, loving place for their loved ones.
We just recently put our mother at Iris Memory Care in Rowlett and are extremely pleased with the care she is receiving. Every time I visit the staff is so friendly and nice. My mother is thriving so much better than when she was home. Eating better, socializing and participating in arts and games. She always tells me how nice everyone has been to her. Everything is always clean and neat. I would highly recommend Iris to anyone with a family member in need of memory care.
This place is horrible! If you care about what happens to your loved one, do not take your loved one there. If you do, you definitely should put a camera in their room, and another in their bathroom. The staff will take offense and retaliate against your loved one, if you report any neglect or abuse to the state. The director will ostracize you. You will wish that you never came to this place.
My mother's health has improved since she came to Iris. The previous 2 years before I placed mom at Iris she was in the hospital and rehab every 4 to 6 months. Mom is also a wanderer and I can finally relax and not worry about her walking out of the facility. She is always clean, safe, well fed, getting her meds and enjoys the companionship. She loves the staff at Iris. Always joking and laughing with them. I highly recommend Iris if you are considering a place for your loved one.
Iris Memory Care is a wonderful place! Their staff is amazing and so caring. The food is wonderful and they alway keep the residents very engaged with activities, including outings!!! I have been in the healthcare industry for over 20 years and Iris is one of the best I’ve ever worked with! 💜
Iris Memory Care was thankfully waiting for a new resident and my dad needed a place to call home when his caretaker (my mom) passed away. Iris Memory Care is a very clean place with a home feel and relatively new. The staff is always around when I have a question regarding my Dad or need to ask about something going on at Iris. Some staff members have come up to me and informed me of activities which my Dad joined in with the group, or just let me know that he had a good morning/day. That is always nice to hear. The staff even takes photos of the residents while on outings, activity times, and even just a walk around house (as my dad calls his home now)The kitchen staff worked to get my dad to eat three meals a day and have healthy snacks. Dad would only eat sweets and not much else when first arrived at Iris Memory Care. The building is set up very nicely and anyone in the main hallway can be seen from the common area. There are plenty of remote controlled recliners for family to watch TV with residents. Iris has a nice covered patio with ceiling fans, a large table and chairs for people to sit, and rocking chairs too. My dad likes to walk around to the raised garden bed and the side yard and sometimes take the water hose and just water whatever he feels like.Just to let folks know; I would recommend Iris Memory Care as I did take a look at a couple other places for my Dad to call home and not one place compared to Iris Memory Care. Please take a look and consider Iris Memory Care.
Mom resided at Iris Memory Care, Rowlett, Texas for over 13 months. During this time, she received excellent physical and emotional care from the management and staff. They were always responsive to my questions and concerns and provided timely solutions to challenges. The facility was always well maintained as well as her room. However the important part was the staff which can be challenging in this industry. They were always professional and had the best interest of my mother’s health in mind. I have no reservation in highly recommending this facility.
We are so thankful for the staff at Iris Memory Care of Rowlett. They actually engage the residents rather than simply supervise them. The nursing staff is so in tune with everyone’s health and the activities are amazing (they even go on field trips!). I even have to give a shout-out to the kitchen and janitorial staff. Healthy snacks and delicious meals. Rooms and common areas are always spotless. In short, if you are looking for quality, caring care for your loved one - this is the only place to go.
