Stratford House is a special place! My Aunt has been in Stratford's assisted living for about 3 years and I dont think I've ever seen a more caring and invested staff. They truly care about my Aunt! The tone is set by Cherie Melton, the Director who is invested and excellent to work with. From there it goes through the staff including Crystal who texted me the other day that she was concerned about my Aunt and was arranging for a few tests. Talk about proactive and invested care. I was there last week and saw the Christmas show that was put on by the Activities Director and her friends. It was a full house and an incredibly heartwarming show that even included Santa and Mrs Clause handing out gifts at the end. During the show Adrika (sp) from the kitchen approached me to tell me how much she loves my Aunt. I have more and more examples. We were out for dinner and when we returned the staff kept engaging with my Aunt to see how her dinner went and almost everyone I met knew I was coming to town. I feel so good to know my Aunt is in the very capable hands of truly loving and invested caregivers. Thank you Stratford House, I know it's not easy!
Stratford has been a very good place for my mom to live for the past 5.5 years. She has a lovely independent living apartment, many dear friends, family nearby, and the security provided by the caring staff. She especially appreciates the housekeeping staff (kudos to Teresa!), the quick attention of the maintenance staff (kudos to Mark!), and the helpfulness of the front desk staff. Our extended family has always enjoyed visiting Mom at Stratford!
If is good place for work, tell me why is always short stuff ?always open position! something is wrong right ? The truth is this is the worst place to work short stuff 1 medication aide for all 3 floor special 3rd shift and 2nd 1 CNA over work 12 + hours for 2nd and 3rd floors. Management are the problem the supervisor acting like she worries about the residents went some days is only 1 medication aide or CNA. what you expect only 2 hands whit 25+ people poor care medication not on time. Specially memory care.If you don't want to lose your license don't work for commonwealth they don't give the right training for new employees be careful with the poor management the don't know what they doing .
My mom has lived here for 2 years. She loves her room and her new friends. She is very peaceful at this facility and I don’t have to worry about her. She is independent living so she still does much for herself. The thing that she had struggled with the most is the food. She eats one meal a day in the evenings and the food is just not inviting. She has complained as I have but I think it’s just the way it will be ! If you can deal with that it’s a great place. And did I say very clean!
Director of nursing verbally abuses staff/unfair practices/resulting in multiple staff quitting then she schedule ONE CNA TO cover SECOND AND THIRD FLOOR,ONE MED TECH for entire second and third shift.at least 60 residents..so meds not on time/residents falls death or injury has occurred .
