Our Living Options
We offer independent and assisted living and we do NOT separate our residents so that they can age in place and still remain in the same apartment and dine in our Dining Room even if their needs change.
Rental Information
We are all rental, so there is no buy in. You pay your rent monthly here. We do have a $3,000.00 community fee. You pay that once when you move in only. You bring your own furniture just like a regular apartment building.
Respite Stays
We also offer temporary (respite) stays in our furnished respite apartments for a minimum of 30 days.
Assistance and Care
If you need assistance with daily living, then those charges would be additional for each individual resident depending upon their needs (Level of Care). We offer up to four levels of care, which is one of the highest levels in Assisted Living. We do this so that you can age in place and remain in your same apartment even if your needs change. We have nurses and caregiving staff here 24 hours a day, seven days a week, as well as physical therapy right here in the building for your convenience.

Review Summary
The following is an AI generated summary of the reviews of the community from across the web.
Reviews of Chevy Chase House highlight a range of experiences, from highly positive to critical. Many reviewers praise the large 1-bedroom units with kitchens, the diversity of staff and residents, and the location's convenience near amenities like a public library, grocery, and CVS. The in-house physical therapy and variety of events offered are also appreciated. The food quality and the dedication of the staff, particularly in the dining room and among the management and caregivers, receive commendations for being top-notch and showing genuine care for residents.
However, some reviews point out areas for improvement. Concerns include being understaffed, organizational issues, and challenges with communication and payment for employees. The turnover in nursing staff and the need for more variety in events and food offerings are mentioned as well. Parking management for visitors and health aides is suggested as an area that could enhance the living experience for residents and their families.
Despite these criticisms, the overall sentiment is that Chevy Chase House provides a friendly and welcoming environment with attentive staff and a fun resident population. The care, love, and compassion shown towards residents and their families are frequently highlighted as reasons for satisfaction. Nonetheless, one review strongly advises against placing loved ones in the care of the management, accusing them of exploiting the elderly for financial gain.
In summary, while Chevy Chase House is generally regarded as a great place with caring staff and good facilities, there are areas that could benefit from attention and improvement to enhance the experience for both residents and employees.
