Community Insights
This detailed information was obtained directly from the Director of Community Relations at Capitol Ridge At Providence via email on Dec. 27, 2023.
Overview of Professional Staff and Training
We have Nurses, Med techs, and CNAs, along with additional staff for dining, housekeeping, and the management team. All are trained in Memory Care, with continued training throughout the year.
Safety and Well-being Measures
We offer a program where we check on residents throughout the day, along with different care levels. Not all of our residents receive care; however, we have a number of Independent Residents.
Transition Support Services
Residents have a pre-move-in meeting to meet with our team, along with an assigned CNA during move-in who shows new residents the community and assists them. We pair residents with like-minded residents at dining so that they have a companion, and we also offer a new resident social every month.
Transportation Services
Tuesday, and Thursday for Dr. Appointments, Friday for banking and shopping, along with outings throughout the week.
Dining Experience
We offer restaurant-style dining with a full menu and specials offered for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Dining is open all day from 8:30 am to 6 pm, with specials served each day at designated times. The full menu is available all day and offers a variety of hot options, salads, sandwiches, and breakfast all day.
Resident Complaints and Issues
It depends on the issue; they would need to meet with the appropriate department head to resolve the issue. This is the reason we have a pre-move-in meeting.
Cost of Living
The cost varies depending on whether it is for Independent, Assisted, or Memory Care living.
Communication with Resident's Families
We need to know who the contacts are because of HIPAA; we need that in writing. The resident lets us know how they are comfortable with us contacting each family member, phone or email. This also pairs with if the resident is Independent, Assisted, or Memory Care.
Short-term or Respite Stays
The cost and availability depend on the level of care and specific needs.
Pet-Friendly Community
Yes, for pets under 25 pounds.
Waitlist Status
Yes, currently there is a waitlist for One Bedrooms.
Covid and Flu Vaccinations
Yes, residents are able to get Covid vaccination and flu vaccinations in the community.
Aging in Place
Yes, residents are able to age in place.

Review Summary
The following is an AI generated summary of the reviews of the community from across the web.
Capitol Ridge at Providence receives positive feedback for its dedicated staff, who are directly employed rather than sourced from agencies, contributing to a consistent and caring environment. The facility is praised for its sizeable rooms, cleanliness, and the variety of amenities available, including a gym, church, and excellent dining options. The presence of an onsite geriatric doctor and a memory care unit with comprehensive services are highlighted as significant benefits, ensuring residents receive the necessary medical care without leaving the premises.
Many reviewers commend the community for its engaging activities, social opportunities, and the freedom and safety it offers to its residents. The ability for residents to invite friends and family for meals and the welcoming attitude of the staff towards visitors are particularly appreciated. The food quality and the range of activities, including trips, in-house events, and physical therapy, receive high marks for enhancing the living experience.
However, some concerns are noted regarding the facility's location, with a few reviewers finding it either too far from their homes or situated in a less desirable area of downtown Providence. Despite these location-based drawbacks, the overall sentiment remains positive, with the community's atmosphere, cleanliness, and the professionalism of the staff frequently praised.
On the downside, there are isolated reports of management communication issues and concerns about the facility's maintenance. Yet, these are outweighed by the numerous positive testimonials about the compassionate and educated staff, the immaculate condition of the premises, and the high quality of life enjoyed by the residents.
In summary, Capitol Ridge at Providence is highly recommended by many for its comprehensive care, welcoming environment, and the array of amenities and activities that contribute to a fulfilling living experience for its residents.
