I have worked for Brighton Gardens of Dunwoody for almost two years now. This is a great place to work everyone is friendly and caring of each other. From our ED Rubyona throught our entire staff. We have Core Values at our facility Passion, Joy of Service, Stewardship, Respect and Trust. We all take a great amount of pride in what we do. I enjoy coming to work interacting with the residents and their families.
My Mom was admitted to the Memory Care section of Brighton of Dunwoody and spent almost 5 1/2 months there before she recently passed. The care she received was of the highest level and a huge comfort to us as she struggled with this stage of her life in her battle with Dementia. I can't recommend this facility enough, as they are kind, concerned & professional in their care for your loved ones!
By far, One of the best facilities I’ve visited over the past few years in the Atlanta Metro Area!!! The staff was extremely friendly and professional. I was scheduled for a consultation meeting and was greeted with such amazing hospitality, their staff made me feel as if I was a frequent guest or family member of a valued resident. While waiting on the meeting I could not help, but notice the cleanliness of the facility and the detailed care the staff was taking for each and every resident. Also, I was able to observe the Executive Director of the facility, Rubyona, stop our meeting to care for and meet the needs for one of her residents who was having a rough day. Due to that servant leadership and compassion displayed by the ED, I would recommend Brighton Gardens of Dunwoody because under that type of leadership I am certain that my friends, family and other loved ones will be cared for better then any other facility in the area.
I work for hospice care and we provide Hospice Services in many Assisted Living communities. There is no doubt we have plenty of good Assisted Living options for our loved ones, however Brighton Gardens of Dunwoody most definitely stands out. They provide Superior Care and really pay attention to details that are important to families. Their core team almost never changes so their residents can enjoy a company of people they already know and trust. I highly recommend this community to anyone looking to place their loved ones.
My friend is living at Brighton now - he's younger than most residents - but that's because of an illness. I like that I can walk in and visit him any day without checking ahead. It reassures me that there is nothing to hide. The staff are friendly and always quick to say "hello". Brighton has holiday decorations and activities posted - it's really a lively place. It's clean and open and the staff are so aware and happy to see visitors. It's really a nice place.
The rating would have been much higher but they told my brother to use this group called Arcturus hospice. My mom didn't need hospice and Arcturus nearly killed her.The facility is nice and clean and well lit. My mom enjoyed the activities until she got worse and had to be more in her room. Then the problems started. She had a cold, but these CLOWNS from Arcturus didn't treat her and she went into pneumonia!! You would think with 2 additional nurses that she would get better, not worse! She was always dirty and not taken care of. After we took my mom to my doctor, WE FIRED ARCTURUS and she started to get better, we got her a home health nurse. The building is great but I can't recommend it now because of what happened.
This Place is the worse to work. My Girlfriend was only there for 4 days before she ended up quitting. i told her she don't even have to work she literally owns multiply houses In NC that she rents out (Guildford county to be exact) and she's in school for nursing. She's been doing CNA work for over 5 years with no problem and was excited when she got this job. She really cares for the elderly and plans on doing geriatric nursing. She had no problems with the residents but the employees are illiterate, low intelligence and probably only have a high school degree or diploma. It seems like they hire anybody to work over there and somehow my girlfriend said They are always short staff with barely anyone available to work shifts. I'm sure all sunrise aren't like this so this review is only for this location my girlfriend was at. If you love yourself and love having peace of mind do not apply to work here unless your mamma is working with you so y'all can form pacts like this albino girl called Bianca. My girlfriend also said she literally saw her throw a resident down because she was afraid of her black cat coming towards her. Half the people working here don't care for these residents that's why it'll be hard for this Sunrise location to keep good employees around because only people still working there are people with no other choice and not educated. We will also be checking to make sure they don't put anything on her record because like I said she's been doing CNA work for over 5 years with no problems. Only bad experience she's had was with this place which is sad cause she was super excited to be working with different residents, and relating it to her nursing career. too bad it ended short due to the lack of interest and priority that the employees don't have for the residents.
My mother has been there since fall of 2016. The staff has been very caring and friendly towards my mother and family. Mom was highly resistant to entering a facility. She was not able to take care of herself, and did not want to live with family. The BG staff helped make the transition as smooth as possible. Mom likes it there now. The place is clean, there a lot of activities, the food is good. She feel safe there.
Our family's journey with Brighton Gardens of Dunwoody began in August 2010 when we moved my mother there (my father-in-law moved in 2011, my mother-in-law moved in 2015) and continues into 2016. We had looked at many assisted living facilities in and around our area and just felt the most comfortable with Brighton Gardens. Each of our parents came with very different medical conditions and each has received an amazing level of care and compassion for their particular needs. My mother had lived with us for 22 years. In late 2006 she was diagnosed with Alzheimer's and by July 2010 she was going outdoors in the middle of the night. She was no longer safe in our home. Mother was able to enjoy the activities and socialization in the assisted living side until her dementia had progressed to the point she needed to be in a secure setting and they were able to provide that in their memory care community. Brighton Gardens was wonderful in making the transition as easy with the least stress and anxiety as possible for her. When the time came for Mother to need hospice care, she had 18 months of at home hospice care through Crossroads Hospice. My father-in-law came to BG directly from a fairly long stay in the hospital. He had been unable to walk and in a wheel chair for several years. He was alert and enjoyed bingo, meal times, and the afternoon get togethers. My mother-in-law came to BG after six months of home health, physical, occupational and speech therapy. Every therapist told us it was no longer safe for her to live unassisted. She was alert but did not like to join in activities or go to meals in the dining room. The staff met her where she was and tirelessly worked with her to increase her activities in the community. There has been a remarkably low turnover in the care provider team and the medical team. They are both very proactive in communicating, explaining and educating the family members on the condition of the resident. The level of care, compassion and concern for the residents can not be surpassed. After six years and counting, I can not say enough encouraging and positive things about Brighton Gardens of Dunwoody.
