Overview of Staff and Training
We have two full time Licensed Vocational Nurses (LVN) on staff. Our Executive Director / Administrator holds an RCFE from the state of California.
For all staff there is an initial training of approximately 40 hours with ongoing training every month as required by state and country regulations, as well as additional training required by Kisco Senior Living.
Safety and Well-being Measures
We provide emergency pendants for all as well as pull cords in the bathroom, living room, and bedroom for every apartment. We have a front desk concierge, med-techs, and caregivers on site 24/7, two full-time nurses, alarmed exterior door, exterior cameras, and motion sensor lighting. We are compliant with all state and local regulations for emergency plans etc.
Transition Support Services
All residents are visited by community managers within their first week. Our Art of Living Well (Activities) team meets with each new resident and completes an interest survey, goes over the calendar of events and activities, and provides an overview of the community resources, phone numbers, and other contact information. They do a great job connecting residents with similar interests and abilities and folding new residents into the community.
Transportation Services
Yes, on Sundays there is a church shuttle, Mon-Thurs there is transportation within a 7 mile radius of the community with 2 days heading north and 2 days heading south. This is, primarily, transportation to and from medical appointments, but may also include errands. Friday transportation is specifically for errands around the Los Altos Area.
Dining Experience
We provide 3 meals each day in our restaurant-style dining room. There is an extensive menu of items served daily as well a special meal-sized salad each day and two other specials. We also have a bistro where we serve house-made pizzas on Wednesdays and on Friday there is an International Bistro theme with a different country’s cuisine featured each week. There is food available from 7:30 a.m. – 6:45 p.m. each day.
Resident Complaints and Issues
All of our managers, including our Executive Director have an open door policy. We also have a resident council to represent resident concerns, as well as a weekly Town Hall meeting where our Executive Director meets with residents every Monday to discuss any questions or concerns they may have. By the end of the week an email update is sent, as well as a printed message from our Executive Director, providing an update on progress of these concerns. We keep our list of complaints short and are very proactive in solving problems here at BridgePoint.

Communication with Resident's Families
Our Assisted Living Director (ALD) oversees all the care plans and the overall well-being of our residents. The entire BridgePoint team keeps an eye on residents, so care givers, med techs, dining servers, activity assistants, and any other member of the team will speak up if something does not seem right. We all have access to our ALD and can communicate concerns to her. She or another member of the care or management team will reach out to family as appropriate. We are also happy to check on residents at any time if a family member has a concern.
Short-term or Respite Stays
We have a 60 day minimum stay here at BridgePoint. This works like any move into the community with a partial refund of the community fee if the move out takes place within 90 days. Rental furniture is available at $1,000/month and care costs are added to the base rent. Base rate is determined by the apartment selected.
Pet-friendly Community
Yes! We even have an enclosed dog park and we host a monthly “Yappy Hour” where residents and families gather on the front patio with their furry companions. Our pet fee is $100/month.
Waitlist Information
We currently have a wait list for 2 bedroom and Studio C apartments. The other floor plans are available.
OVERVIEW
We are a friendly, relaxed independent and assisted living community with high end amenities and a comfortable atmosphere. We offer month-to-month apartment rental and an individualized care plan for those residents who may benefit from personal assistance.
At BridgePoint there is no need to transfer to another building or part of the building as care needs increase. For most BridgePoint residents, this continuum allows a single move to provide a long-term solution.
Residents share common spaces and beautiful grounds, restaurant-style dining, and four patios for socializing and events, while still maintaining the privacy of an apartment.
The community sits back from the street and has a wide, safe, paved lane on the side and back of the building that is a designated fire lane. This area is lined with orange trees, lemon trees, redwoods, and oaks as well as dozens of rose bushes. Many of our residents like to walk in this safe, beautiful area.
