Lady at front desk extremely rude. Gave a nasty attiitude.Didnt even say hello or great me, then when i was speaking to her it was like i bothered her. First impression is everything. Wont be refering anyone there for sure.

My parents have lived here for over 3 years and we are all very happy with the facility itself, the staff, the food and activities.  The executive director (Radhika Singh) has won many awards in the industry for her leadership and it shows in the staff she hires and the smooth daily operations.   Belmont Village has a long list of activities for all residents such as games, movies, resident committees and field trips.  The memory care is especially good, ranging from "circle of friends" for early stage dementia patients to the "neighborhood" live-in section for more advanced dementia. The staff is always pleasant and very patient with the residents.  Much of the staff has worked there for many (10+) years and it is clear that they love their jobs. As far as the pricing goes, it seems to be middle of the road for this area and we've found it worth the price.  A reviewer complained about the cost of distributing medicine.  Some of this is due to CA state law and part is due to a safer mechanism to ensure flawless distribution.  They may have raised the prices for a new system but it really does work better.  Resident safety is a top priority for Belmont Village of Sunnyvale.I highly recommend Belmont Village Sunnyvale.

This is an update to my 2012 review.I don't think you could find any better place than Belmont Village! :-)My mother lived at Belmont Village from 2009 until 2017. The entire experience was exceptional.  From the food they serve residents (delicious), to the decor and comfort of the common areas and lovely outdoor space.  Everything is clean and comfortable and they update things on a regular basis.  They decorate for the holidays and celebrate special holidays and occasions to keep the feeling upbeat. They regularly have entertainers come in to break up the monotony of growing old and potentially losing one's mobility to go out and enjoy the things that we do when we're younger.  They have nurses that will handle your loved ones medication disbursement.  This is organized well thought-out.  They are very kind patient nurses and medical assistance and RNAs in the Wellness Center. I had a great sense of confidence knowing they were there to care for my mother.The management is top-notch.  Radhika is the Executive Director of Resident care and she is absolutely fabulous. I always felt so fortunate to have her there as the Exec director. She is very intelligent, organized, and extremely compassionate.   She has assembled a fantastic team, including Ernie who is kind-hearted, caring and takes the time to get to know each resident and their needs. I must also mention the very sweet and kind ladies and gentleman that work at the front desk welcoming people, answering every phone call, and interacting with the residence.  In many cases they are the first point of contact for Belmont Village and they are all a great representation.....   Ruth, Sana, Noel  thanks to them from the bottom of my heart for the many years of kindness they showed to me and my mother and all the residents. The many, many repeated questions they've answered to the residents that sit in the community area with them just hanging out. They have patience of saints. Also the team that works in Josephine's kitchen both preparing an assortment of dishes and so kind and thoughtfully serving the residents.  With my mother's dementia condition she wasn't always the most polite person to deal with, yet everyday and every meal they were so thoughtful and sweet and kind to her regardless of how snippy she might be on a given day. In summary, I feel very blessed to have had the means too have my mother live her late years out at Belmont Village Sunnyvale.  I recommend Belmont Village Sunnyvale without any hesitation.

Well, In all honesty I need to update this review.  Radhika Singh took over management of this facility a few years ago, and under her leadership, things have gotten *much* better!  First of all, she was willing to negotiate with me a bit on the monthly rent, and have revised it so that I can keep dad there for a couple more years.  In several other situations where I was frustrated, she has personally taken charge to resolve issues; I very much appreciate that!  And recently, they signed up with a company to provide good-quality incontinence supplies, so I no longer have to order those on a monthly basis.  I *very* much appreciate how BV has been managed since she took over, I hope she stays for many years!Original post:I would reverse the opening comment from another poster: they are pretty good, but they *certainly* are not cheap!!  In fact, they take every opportunity that they can think of, to bleed more money from every client.My father has been there since 2012, and his rate has gone from $6700/month then, to $9000/month now; it rises roughly $500-$600/month, per year.  In spite of that, they don't seem to be able to deal with *anything* ; they won't even order diapers, wipes, Ensure drinks (all of which he now needs), I have to order them - if they order themselves, they get garbage-quality goods and charge him 200% overhead (or more).  I also have to order all of his non-prescription medications (vitamin-B, Ibuprofen, etc); they don't include *any* of that in $9000/month!!That would almost make sense, if some of that money was going to the care-givers, who really *do* work their tails off, but NO, they get minimum wage or less, and BV sends out annual letters asking my father (through me) to make generous donations to the care-givers, so that the deep pockets at BV can keep raking it in without having to give up anything to the real workers.  I was doing that for awhile, but I cannot any more...And now, they have a *new* game!!  I got a letter today (actually, a bill) demanding another $300/month to cover getting drugs distributed in blister-packs, to make it easier for them in some way... so the $500/month raise that you just got last month, can't be used for this??I *hate* these parasites!!  I dearly wish I had some reasonable alternative to them, but don't know how to find such a thing at this point.So for now, I just want to warn people - yes, your family member will be reasonably-well cared for here, but you will be required to hand them an unlimited blank check, and they are determined to suck every dollar out of you, come hell or high water.

Belmont is expensive but it is very clean and the staff are very caring.  I would recommend that you add an outside support caregiver once a week that will also take your loved one outside for additional activities.

Nice, modern facilities and very friendly and hard working staff. My parents moved in several months ago and like it very much, everything from the daily activities to the food selection. There is an inner courtyard of fairly large size and well landscaped, big enough for residents to take walks. Convenient location. Definitely worth a look if you are looking for a modern, bright assisted living facility.

My parents have lived at Belmont Villages for over 4 years. Unfortunately, my father can no longer bare his own weight and so we've found a new place with mechanical lifts for him to stay. But, my brothers and I wish to thank Belmont Village and the staff for taking such good care of my parents while they were there.Our advice for those contemplating moving their parents is not to wait too long. My Dad enjoyed playing pool with the other residents and with staff. We wish that our parents had taken greater advantage of all the programs that Belmont Villages offers, but we may have waited too long.We waited too long to get my Dad hearing aids. He has not gotten used to them. We waited too long to get him a wheel chair. So, he has never pushed himself. We visited our parents often and the staff has always been friendly and helpful and we cannot thank the staff enough.Thank you Radhika Singh (Executive Director). Thank you Ernie Getuiza (Director of Residential Care Services).
