Aston Gardens, what a place. Full of challenges And little grace. But all together we’ll win this race as we march together with a mask on our face. Looking intently on which way to go as we follow the signs on our yellow brick road. The beat of the drummers of our roof top band reminds us All this will soon be done As we march together to the beat of their drums. Aston Gardens, what a place. Full of challenges and much grace.
Yes..We have. Been living here for over 3 years. We love it. You get 2meals a day and your apartment cleaned every week. They take you to your Doctors or any app. you may have. They also take you to several grocery stores every week. You can go on trips and you can stay as busy as you want with in house games. A huge heated pool all seasons. Apts. larger than most places. Come check us out. Olene and Gene Kolk.
My mother spent the last 1+ year of her life at Aston Gardens. This is a beautiful place and is great for elder living. The staff here is awesome and truly cares for its residents. The food is excellent and living quarters are clean and beautiful. My mother truly loved it here. The golf cart drivers and transportation to events, stores, and venues are awesome. A special thank you to Marian in resident services, Joselyn in transportation, Amanda at reception, and Laure with Dr Berlands office. You are all phenomenal people and excellent at your jobs.
My parents moved into the Independent Living Facility a few years ago. At the time, I could smell what I believed to be mold in the apartment. I asked the representative at the facility if there was mold in the apartment and I was told no. I continued to smell mold but my parents could not. I thought I was just more sensitive to it. In late summer and going into the fall of 2017, I noticed a significant decline in my parents' health. I asked the assistant executive director to have the apartment tested for mold. She had a company come in and take several samples throughout the apartment. She said she would give us a copy of the report. We never got a copy of the report. Both she and the company representative said that there was no mold in the apartment and the apartment was safe for my parents. Despite repeated requests, they continued to tell us that we did not need the report because the apartment was fine and refused to give it to us. In May 2018, I saw what I believed to be visible mold growing on every wall in the second bedroom of their apartment. I reported the problem to management, but the executive director, assistant executive director, and the manager of the maintenance personnel did not come down to the apartment to investigate the problem. They simply sent one of the maintenance personnel down to bleach the walls and tried to blame my parents for the mold and/or mildew growing in the apartment. I moved my parents out. As I was moving their belongings out, I found that the carpet in the closet in the bedroom was damp and the carpet was stained/discolored around the perimeter of the room. It appeared that there was water coming into the building. When it was clear that the issue was not going to be investigated or remediated properly, I contacted the corporate office. As of this post, despite repeated phone calls to corporate, no one will call back to inform us as to what exactly was growing on the walls and how/if it is going to be properly remediated. I have also found out from employees at the facility that the executive director at the time and the assistant executive director never got the report from the company that came in and tested the apartment back in the fall. Employees also told me at the time that there is another apartment in that building that has mold in it and there is another building at the facility that had mold in the past. I am posting this review because I am concerned about the health and well-being of the other elderly people living at this campus and others who may be considering moving here. I do not recommend moving here or moving your loved ones here.
My Mom has lived at Aston gardens for three years and the place has declined in service. Dining room has become a buffet self serve instead of waiters taking your order no more cloth tablecloths. . She had Jewelry stolen out of her apt by the cleaning staff no one else has gone into her place. No help from security that’s not their job. She was told their job is to help if you fall and press button. Beware of your valuables when the cleaning people are there. Just a word of warning.
As a senior professional, Aston Gardens has been the premiere facility that I talk about as a model of the active senior lifestyle. Many of my clients have a difficult time imagining what life will be like when they downsize from their home. But not only is Aston Gardens a great example of an amazing lifestyle for seniors but the staff are amazing with the activities, and services they provide. People like Robyn Bard who knows you as a person and goes out of her way to make sure things are personalized to your taste. Her and Lori have such an amazing attention to detail that there's nothing that's missed at a price even more affordable than living at home most of the time. It's a no brainer but still they're not pushy. They are definitely a high service organization and I recommend them to all of my clients (including my own father)
I cannot say enough good thinks about Aston Gardens Tampa. My parents moved into the independent living facility many years ago. Their experience was terrific. They met many new friends and enjoyed many activities. Transportation to malls, doctors, grocery, church was provided which enabled them to gradually give up driving when the time was right. They graduated to the Inn at Aston Gardens (Assisted Living/Memory Care) as their needs progressed. They, too, loved their experience there. I was able to switch their primary physician to Dr. Berland – who makes “house calls” so no arduous trips for them to the doctor. Lorena, who runs this area, has a phenomenal team. The nurses, Cindy and Donna, are terrific – they kept me updated on everything. My parents looked forward to the excellent food provided by the chef – wish he was at my house. Eugene, the handyman, assisted with moves, making sure every room became a comfortable home. The day-to-day staff was caring and my parents really loved and appreciated them. I saw them doing things beyond the call of duty to brighten the resident’s day.Sadly, both of my parents passed away in 2020 from natural causes but the staff at the Assisted Living facility made my parent’s final years happy. They were like a family to my parents. When my time comes, I hope that I can find a place as wonderful as this.
First, let me say that moving your parents can be one of the most overwhelming tasks you experience in life. Aston Gardens has gone above and beyond to make that experience incredible. From the start, Robyn Bard was on top of every detail. Robyn made calls to facilitate almost everything I had forgotten or never could get to. Robyn is an asset to Aston Gardens and continues to this day to follow up. Marion, Jocelyn, and Henry have also been incredible to work with. All very easy to get a hold of and prompt with their wanting to help. Thank you Robyn very much and thanks to all the support staff at Aston Gardens and Station 35!
I have lived in Aston Gardens of Tampa Bay for almost six carefree years. Our management team is expanding its care during this pandemic. Safety of residents is their primary concern; i.e., food service, socialization, and checking visitors before they enter our community. Contact between residents is kept to a minimum. I believe Aston Gardens is a great place to live and recommend it to friends and future friends
At some point, for different reasons, we all come to realize the things we have always done have lost some of their attraction and charm. There are things we would just rather do than cook and clean house and the pool, maintain the yard and the bushes, concerns about hurricanes and all the rest of that stuff. Almost nine years ago we went traveling around Florida looking at senior living communities when we found Aston Gardens Tampa Bay. Now, nine years later, I am convinced that people wait too long to opt in to the freedom provided by the right senior living community. For us, the right community was and is Aston Gardens Tampa Bay. I think this must be one of the best kept secrets on earth because if everyone knew what we know about it there wouldn’t be any apartments available. I am no different from the rest of you, a little skeptical about accepting descriptions that use all the superlatives. After more than eight years I can tell you that the sum of the parts that make up Aston Gardens Tampa Bay amount to an excellent life style. Many of the features are absolutely unique and cannot be found in combination anywhere that I know of. All of the ingredients required for a carefree lifestyle are allocated to the various departments including: food and beverage, grounds and building maintenance, housekeeping, security, recreation, events and resident services.A wonderful group of residents, who were all attracted by the unique features at Aston Gardens Tampa Bay, represent the single greatest asset any community could offer. This diverse, incredibly interesting and fun group of people make up the social fabric that cannot be duplicated on any cul-de-sac or in any subdivision anywhere. I can share my opinions and experiences but everyone has to see and decide for themselves.Lastly and maybe most importantly, management and the administration knows what business they are in. They are in the ‘Service Business’ that goes far beyond just apartment rentals. They are very very good at what they do.Good health, a good decisions to move to Aston Gardens Tampa Bay, good friends we have made and little good luck has given us the freedom to live an enjoyable carefree lifestyle.

The independent living facility has declined over the past few years. The buildings are dirty, furniture in building hallways and in the clubhouse is worn and/or stained, the facility is understaffed, maintenance service requests go unanswered for months. There is not enough maintenance staff to handle the number of apartments. The Executive Director does not regularly attend resident meetings.
