My mom was only there for one month and the staff ignored family’s concerns that my mom had pneumonia so my mom ended up septic and also tested positive for RSV from that germ-infested facility. At the most critical time when she needed help, they delayed calling a squad for her and she couldn’t be saved. I now think back to the first day my mom arrived there without us checking out the facility beforehand, and then seeing the ugly outdated facility and being around the staff there, it gave me this terrible gut feeling that I could not shake and I cried for her all the way home and then cried on the phone to one of the nurses because I was so worried about her being there. How I wish to God now that I’d been more attentive to that gut feeling you hear people talk about so that I could have realized we needed to get her out of there before it was too late for her. But one would think a place full of nurses and doctors should be able to diagnose pneumonia. They didn’t even try even with all the pleading for them to consider this could be going on. So many regrets that my mom ever was in that place. The staff pretends to be so caring and they could honestly care less about the residents and getting them stronger to go home, their only real care is billing Medicare/Medicaid and getting their money. Once your loved one passes, before you even have time for the funeral, they are advertising to fill that empty bed, and sadly that’s no exaggeration. When my mom passed right before Christmas, and we wanted her medical records, even proving and providing executor information, the administrator who pretends to care showed her true colors and fought us tooth and nail trying every way to deny my family of my mom’s records. The administrator there would not help our family through the process, only worked hard to make it more difficult for my elderly dad and would not return messages or calls but played on Facebook all through the day. The facility has a Facebook page and if you comment anything they do not approve of or they do not want people to know, we realized they hide your comment. If you share another comment about a concern or an experience you feel others should be aware of, the staff managing their Facebook page completely blocks you. That is also all sketchy behavior. They do this because they cannot handle people reading truth. They want people to think that it is a good place by only keeping the positive comments and hiding the negative ones and want people to believe they care but it’s truly only to benefit their advertising purposes until they get you there and get your money.
