Overall, employees who work for Arbor Company in the Marietta, GA area have a positive experience. They appreciate the work/life balance, pay, flexibility, and sweet residents. They also enjoy the company culture and appreciate that seniors come first. However, there are some issues with staffing becoming increasingly difficult and a lack of follow-through from management. My wife and I have stayed here from the beginning. We have enjoyed the amazing staff, activities, food in the dining room and visiting entertainers, except for the period when the virus kept us confined to our rooms. It's slowly getting back to Normal. Comr here to visit with Katherine. Mel
I regretfully have to post this due to the bad business practices of Silver Scissors Salon LLC. Which is a contracting company that operates Salons in several high end Assisted Living facilities owned by Angela C Brady. She has bounced my paychecks. I have not received the rest of my pay for the work that I have done ending December 8th 2017. I worked for Angela C Brady with Silver Scissors Salons in two of her locations, Sterling Estates on Dallas Highway and Arbor Terrace on Burnt Hickory Road in the Marietta area. Never received complaints from any of the residence or Staff. Matter of fact on her Silver Scissors Salon LLC Facebook page, she brags about how amazing I am. And how happy she is for me to join her team. Which is posted on 10/29/17 on SSS LLC Facebook page. Ms Angela Brady will not return my phone calls, she has text me a few times. After her check bounced she won't respond. Now I have to take her to Civil Court, to get my pay. BAD BUSINESS PRACTICES!!!!
My mother-in-law lived in the Evergreen neighborhood for persons with dementia. I cannot speak highly enough of the care she received there. The staff was so sweet and engaged. Everyone was very loving with my mother-in-law and it was obvious they genuinely cared for her. One care giver even came in on her day off to help my mother-in-law celebrate her birthday with a big cake. No place is perfect, but I can honestly say we felt blessed that we chose Arbor Terrace to help us care for my mother-in-law. Good people make such a difference!
Very kind, knowledgeable and professional staff - they are attentive and care a great deal about the residents. We have experienced both assisted living and memory care and both are top notch. Arbor Terrace is a beautiful facility that obviously strives to be excellent in all areas.
In looking for a care facility for my Dad, my research led me here, and I am so glad it did. Katherine Dyer-Wall, the Senior Care Counselor, has been amazing since the get-go. Throughout the whole process she has been so supportive and helpful, answering all of my questions no matter how big or small. Now that my Dad has moved in, I can say I am very happy with our decision. The care team has been proactive with Dad's care and keeping us in the loop when things have happened. The facility itself is really nice and very comfortable. Everyone I have talked to there and worked with from the front office to the facilities team has been great, which makes a difficult situation that much easier.
Anyone who had dealt with, or is currently dealing with, finding assisted living for a loved one understands the challenge, even anxiety, that can come with the task. I feel very comfortable that my mom is safe and loved here. The COVID sheltering-in period was tough on residents and staff. But the staff powered through. I have tremendous respect and appreciation for the challenging work they do. I feel blessed that we can afford assisted living for Mom and that we found a place that cares for her and is so willing to support our family with any concerns or needs.
I would be very cautious if considering this place for your loved one. The staff has zero empathy or adequate experience to care for those in memory care. My mother was hospitalized twice with dehydration. She fell multiple times, and staff could not create an action plan for her care without our family’s constant intervention. Staff turnover is through the roof and the Director does not address issues but offers endless excuses. I’m happy to share my experience with you, I can be found on LinkedIn
This facility is exactly what we wanted for my mother. The staff provide such a warm and caring environment; exactly what “home” should be. They do an outstanding job of engaging the residents in activities and meeting them where they are in terms of their abilities. My mother is in the memory care unit for the past year. I highly recommend.
