I am so grateful for the loving care my father is receiving. This was a unexpected admission for our dad and the staff has been excellent from admission process, nursing staff and their Physical Therapy Department, and even dietary. All though there is no place like home, our dad is happy and improving each day. It’s because AHRC and their commitment to quality care and taking the time to listen to our concerns and goals for our dad that has him on the road to recovery. AHRC is a great asset to the community! We can’t recommend them enough!
Appomattox Health & Rehab has the sweetest and most loving care givers! My grandmother has been taken good care of and she enjoys being there with such wonderful people. It’s always a reassuring feeling when you know your grandparents are being loved when you can no longer take care of them for reasons beyond your control.
From the moment our Mom arrived at Appomattox Rehab we felt reassured of our Mom’s care. On the first day Crystal was friendly, informative and very organized. The nurses and staff stayed in touch with us regarding our Mom’s progress. If there was ever a question concerning anything with our Mom, they always called to advise of her status and get our approval before taking any further action. These protocols were so important to us because due to the COVID restrictions we could only visit with Mom through the front window. Elizabeth, one of Mom’s nurses could not have made us feel more blessed with her kind words she shared with us regarding our Mom. I would highly recommend this facility to take care of your loved one. The facility is very clean and the staff is top notch. Our heartfelt thanks goes to each person at Appomattox Rehab. You are all angels! Sincerely Bev Martin
The staff is so kind and loving to our mom. They have put us all at ease since our first conversation about her coming there for rehab and we know she is receiving the best care. They have gone above and beyond to stay in touch with us during these challenging times when keeping everyone safe means we can't visit in-person. We get regular updates and all of the staff is so willing to answer any and all of our questions. Our family is so grateful for Crystal in admissions for helping us navigate all of the challenges we had never faced before and for all of the staff who continue to be rockstars for our mom and all of the other residents.😍
My mother had a brief stay at this facility after being discharged from the hospital, and unfortunately succumbed to her illness. But while there the staff was extremely courteous and professional. Covid restrictions only allowed window visitation until her time of death. The admissions director, Crystal Butler, and nurses aides went over & beyond assisting us speak to our mom by phone, outside the window. All pertinent details were explained to our family members. Mom had stayed there in previous years as well for post operative therapy and recovery. The facility is clean and the staff is friendly and very accommodating. It was great she was close to home so we could visit as often as we wanted. Would recommend this facility.
Since my stay here this time has been a Great experience and the staff are wonderful , good personalities , good customer service, food is great and the staff is caring and it shows . All the staff works together as a team all the way from Department heads and CNAS , activities and dietary , therapist work as a team to make the patients smile and help to feel the void where we can not see our families . I would highly recommend Appomattox Health and Rehab Center as a place to go if you are needing skilled care . Also would like to thank Grace Hills Baptist and Bible Baptist and Appomattox middle school and student , parents and staff for the wonderful Halloween basket we received today for Halloween and the staff at AHRC for dressing up in costumes and dancing down the hall to thriller to brighten our days and put our smile on our face and cupcakes and dirt pudding coupons dietary staff prepared. It really put a smile on our face and showed us how much they really cared.
I WANT TO SAY SOMETHING ABOUT THE CASE WORKER HERE.HER NAME IS CRYSTAL BUTLER. I DIDN'T KNOW HER UNTIL I TALKED TO HER ON THE PHONE. AND I GAVE HER ALL THE INFORMATION TO GET ME IN HERE AND SHE WORKED ON IT 3 DAYS. I CALLED HER ON MONDAY THE 26 AND SHE TOLD ME SHE WOULD GET BACK TO ME SOON.ABOUT 1:30PM SHE CALLED BACK AND SAID SHE HAD GOOD NEWS FOR ME. THAT SHE GOT EVERYTHING APPROVED AND THEY COULD BRING ME THAT AFTERNOON. SINCE I GOT HERE SHE HAS GONE ABOVE AND BEYOND TO NOT ONLY HELP ME BUT EVERYONE HERE. SHE KNOWS HOW TO GET THINGS DONE ✔ IN A VERY PROSSIATION WAY. BUT SHE ALSO KNOWS HOW TO PITCH IN AND HELP THE STAFF. ALSO ABOVE EVERYTHING SHE CARES ❤ SO MUCH FOR THE PATIENT'S. AND SHE ✔ ON EVERYTBB.;BHING REAL OFTEN..
Before I came to Appomattox health and rehab I looked up the reviews. I can honestly say that it lived up to the high reviews. The entire staff is caring and compassionate and the patients needs and wants are their utmost concern. The rooms are spacious and clean and cleaning is a high priority at Appomattox health and rehab. I considered this extremely important especially during this pandemic. Should I ever need to go to another facility like this Appomattox health and rehab would be my first choice. I would highly recommend them to anyone who needed such a facility for themselves or a loved one.
I have been very happy with the staff here since my Daddy has been there. They have made it nice for us during this crazy pandemic since we’re unable to see him. Crystal has gone above and beyond her duties!! She’s been an angel to us. I’d also like to give a shout out to Taylor, but I love you all. I would suggest Appomattox Health & Rehab to anyone should they need a place for their loved one. Thank you all so much for everything you do!!
My dad spent almost two weeks at AHRC recovering and reconditioning following a heart attack. Crystal was so helpful as we went through the process of selecting a facility and we immediately knew this would be a good place for him. We got an informative consult with his team of caregivers and always got a response when we had questions. Even dad said that while he disliked being in rehab (wouldn’t you?), he admitted that all his treatment was purposeful in planning for his eventual discharge. And when he had an issue with a roommate with a loud TV, the staff was able to quickly relocate him to a quiet room. We weren’t able to visit other than talking through a crack in the front doors (no fault of AHRC) because of the virus. I do hope they can come up with a safe means for visitation for future patients. Dad is home and getting stronger every day. Many thanks to AHRC and the staff.
This has been a blessing. Crystal and the others at Appomattox Health and Rehab have been so good to my mother in law Dorothy Burgess. She had surgery for a broken hip and even with the covid no visitation policy, they contact us and send pictures as well as assist Dot when she wants to call her family members.
The staff at the Appomattox Health & Rehab Center have taken special care to keep us connected with our mother since the COVID-19 closure. There has been a parade, which my family participated in. I understand there was other entertainment on various days. Crystal has taken pictures of our mother and sent these to us, which mean a lot. They always see she has use of a phone when she wants to make a phone call. I’m looking forward to when I can give her a big hug, but know she is well taken care of until then.
AHR center has been caring for our mother for many years! (Elena Burch). She has many health issues and she is totally dependent on the staff for everything. We are very pleased with every aspect of her care. Caring for someone in her current state sometimes is no easy task. Thanks to everyone there that has a hand in making this facility the best of the best! The updates and pictures during this quarantine have been very uplifting for us all!
My grandfather spent 2 weeks here and I was really impressed.Appomattox Health & Rehabilitation really worked with him to get him back home. The staff was very kind and helpful with any of our concerns. He had therapy everyday sometime multiple times a day. He had physical, occupational and speech therapy; so that's why it was everyday. They gave me a full breakdown of his routine and medications for when it was time for him to leave.Really appreciate everything and everyone. 😁💞-My only concern or dislike was the TVs in the room being side by side. Thankfully he only had a roommate for one night cause that would or could drive anyone crazy 🤪
I can’t say enough wonderful things about the care, love and support my mother is receiving from the staff at Appomattox Health and Rehab Center. At the time of admission we were welcomed with loving and open arms. Crystal is very compassionate and knowledgeable, which made the admission process very calming . We continue to get thorough updates from the staff. Our family is at peace knowing our mother will receive the care and love she needs.I would recommend Appomattox Health and Rehab Center to any family looking for care of a loved one. The professionalism of the staff is outstanding. Thank you to Crystal, Cynthia, Tina and all the wonderful staff!!!!!!!
