Do you offer any resources or support services to aid residents' transition into the community?
There are plenty of resources that we can assist with.
Do you offer transportation services for residents?
There is a bus that can provide transportation within a 10-mile radius and doctor appointments need to be scheduled 72 hours in advance.
Could you tell me a little about your dining experience?
The dining experience is very similar to a restaurant. There are servers that take your order and bring your food. You can also order the special or off the main menu.
What is the cost of living in your community?
We have apartments from $4550 to $7350. Care level cost not included and range from $400- $3200.
What is your policy on communication with resident's families? How do you keep them updated about their loved ones' well-being?
We do care plan meetings with families and let them know of changes.
Do you all offer short-term or respite stays? How much does this cost?
We do have respite stays at $250 per day with a 14-day minimum and a $500 community fee.
Are you all a pet-friendly community?
We do allow pets with a $500 fee. Pets would need to be cleared through the Executive Director and residents need to be able to take care of their pet.

Review Summary
The following is an AI generated summary of the reviews of the community from across the web.
Reviews of Anthology of Plano, formerly known as The Village at Mapleshade, offer a mixed perspective on the living community, highlighting both its strengths and areas for improvement. Many reviewers appreciate the care and compassion shown by the staff, particularly towards married couples and single gentlemen residents. The community is praised for its engaging activities, including dining experiences, Bingo, and poker games, which have been a source of enjoyment for residents.
However, concerns have been raised regarding staff turnover, particularly in leadership positions, which some believe has contributed to a decline in the quality of the community. The departure of a beloved Executive Director, Linda, was noted as a significant loss, with her replacements not meeting the same level of engagement and care. This has led to considerations by some families to relocate their loved ones.
Issues with care quality have been mentioned, including long wait times for assistance and a lack of communication from management. The physical condition of the building and the morale of the staff have also been points of criticism, with some residents feeling neglected and the environment described as dingy and rundown.
Despite these challenges, there are positive reports of improvement under new management, with better communication and a more caring environment being highlighted. Some families express gratitude for the support and compassion shown during difficult times, including during the pandemic, where the community managed to remain COVID-free.
Overall, while Anthology of Plano has been a source of comfort and care for many residents and their families, there are significant concerns that potential new residents should consider. The experiences shared suggest a community with dedicated staff and moments of excellence, but also with areas that require attention and improvement.
