Anchorage Pioneer Home Description
The Anchorage Pioneer home is a shining beacon in the historical community core. The building was constructed in stages, beginning with the five-story tower in 1977 and completed in 1982. The Anchorage Pioneer Home is a top-notch assisted living facility that provides care for Alaska resident elders sixty-five years old or older. The home has the capacity to house 168 elders and provides three levels of care, including care for persons with Alzheimer's disease or related dementia (ADRD). The 168 Elders of the Anchorage home are some of the most interesting people you'll ever meet. They're all pioneers from the first half of the 20th century, including homesteaders, miners, and bush pilots.Price Comparison

Do not send your elders and loved ones here. I’ve visited my aunt on the first floor with dementia and this is just a sad and dark environment. All the elders do all day is sit in the living room lined up side by side and they’re just full of sadness. They should be treated much better than this. Not to mention the CNA’s were snobby and lie to the elders to get them to do something (remember they have dementia). People remember how you make them feel. This is more like a prison than a home.
