Can you please explain to me why you would show a new room when it is not available to a prospective hospice patient's family? Why would you lead a family facing the death of their father to believe they are getting something not available? Can you also explain to me how your staff can be so lacking in basic training as to leave spilled bodily fluids on the floor for a family member to clean up? Can you explain to me how you would find it acceptable to place a resident in a room you never indicated would be their room, and leave the toilet in such a highly unsanitary condition, with the feces of an unknown person literally floating in the toilet? Can you further-explain to me how your staff could be so bumbling while transferring a patient as to bump their head? I understand your facility was recently purchased by a real estate investment group. Perhaps F. Matthew DiNapoli, the CEO of that investment group, can move beyond being interested in real estate and start taking an active interest in quality care. He does not own apartments, he owns senior living facilities and seniors need care, not marketing hype.He might also wish to visit the facility and find out why its senior manager falsely stated that RN services were available, and why other management attempted to coerce the LVN into moving my father-in-law in a manner that was unsafe and not part of any standard of care whatsoever. And also, maybe Mr. F. Matthew DiNapoli could simply roll up his sleeves and pitch in. After 24 hours in this most sub-standard of facilities, we had my father-in-law transferred to another facility. And as he left, around 6:00 p.m., memory care residents were still awaiting their dinner. As staffing was not sufficient, they were being served their dessert first. How can a facility charge its residents $6,000 a month and treat them like this? Please, Mr. F. Matthew DiNapoli, explain that to me.
I hope the care provided to residents is not reflected by their rude Nursing Home Administrator. The NHA, Jami, does not return calls, or emails. She interviews and cheerfully tells you to your face she will call by a certain time and date either way, but does not follow through. Then she posts the same position without so much as answering her phone or responding to any voice mails or emails. It is both discourteous and unprofessional. If a person takes the time to come to an interview, and is told they will be informed of the decision either way, the worker must follow through. They should stop pretending they really want someone to work for them if they are going to create a place where people are disrespected.
