Addington Place exceeded our expectations. We are very thankful that we found such a wonderful facility nearby when a family member unexpectedly could not live at home alone. The people working there are very caring and competent. They adapted to a challenging and changing situation, yet they were always friendly, calm and helpful. Addington Place feels like a home, and the staff like family.
I moved my mom to Addington Place of Johns Creek two months ago from an independent living facility as my mom's needs became more elevated. I had checked out a few other places and this was the place we chose right from the moment we walked in.It was a warm and homey feeling .We met Mary Green who told us all about the place, showed us around, and introduced us to a lot of the residents. She treated each one as a member of her own family. We also met the Gm,Quentin Jones, and Devin Smith, the wellness Director. They seemed to also have a strong bond with the residents and reacted to them as if they were members of their own family as well, which made us decide that this was the place for mom.The staff and caregivers are all excellent and super nice. I most definitely recommend Addington Place of Johns Creek!
Addington Place of Johns Creek is not just another assisted living facility, it is a loving home. My father moved in here over the summer due to some medical complications and he absolutely loves living here. From the day I walked in, and spoke with Mary, I knew this would be a good choice for my dad. The entire staff are some of the nicest, most caring people I’ve had the privilege of knowing. They have helped me tremendously, while I figure out how to navigate this next stage of my father’s life. Without their help I can’t imagine how much harder this could have been. The residents are the best, so kind to one another and really treat each other like an extended family. They have tons of activities and social events to keep residents busy, from holiday celebrations to live music, or trivia night (my father’s favorite). I honestly can’t say enough good things about this place and would recommend it to anyone that is entering this stage of life.
This is a horrible place to work. I worked here for about 6 months and it's litterally a sinking ship. The executive director has an accounting background and doesn't care about the residents or the employees. This place is constantly running out of supplies that are required to do the job because he is too cheap to keep the inventory full. Management is only interested in filling the rooms to make their paychecks bigger, yet there is not enough staff to handle all of the residents needs. Management will listen to your problems but won't take action until something tragic happens. As a med tech or cna/caregiver, your manager will play favorites with your scheduling. Also, you will be responsible for the caregivers on your shift while having to care for residents, run activities (even though there are activity assistants), serve 3 meals, and conduct two 30 minute meetings. Not to mention I had to ask for my raises that were due to me months ago. Never got the raise because the managers kept blaming each other and dancing around the topic. Please don't waist your time here. The management is unprofessional and money driven, the pay doesn't equate to the workload, and raises are nonexistent. The residents are the best part of this job and I will always love them. They are all truly beautiful and don't deserve what is happening to their community. I could never recommend anyone to live or work here. For the sake of the residents, I hope that change will come about. Flooded rooms and hallways from the toilets backing up, along with leaking roofs, causing residents to move from room to room, will shut this place down. Super sad face!! The residents kept me here longer than I intended, otherwise, I would have left a long time ago.
For future families bewareI worked here only once because I am a travel CNA. I work at many facilities so I get an on going eye with what goes on behind them fake greeting smiles. This place is understaffed . They need agency CNA to come when they don’t have ppl.** even though they sent me home easily because they put so many ppl on the calendar. They are so scared to be understaffed. But the 5 hours I was there let me tell you …the CNA’s that are there are just super mean to the residents. I’ve seen and reported this. They take in nursing home residents that need hoyer lifts and don’t provide the right material for them and expect the CNA to do everything. No wonder all the CNA are in a bad moodLastly , the sales lady and director of nursing moved in a 2 residents that are wheelchair accessible only to a non wheelchair accessible room and did not even notice to tell the family about it till they moved in. They even made us shower them even though it could’ve been dangerous lifting them in tubs that aren’t wheelchair accessible.I have a grandmother and a mother both of age I would never bring them here . They just want us booked up rooms, and they allll talk bad about everyone behind closed doors.
I am a resident at Addington Place of Johns Creek and the staff here are very nice. Everyone does their job and they do it very well. All staff are hired for certain departments and they have been trained well to execute their work. The community was recently renovated and it looks very nice - new floors, paint, furniture, etc. I always feel very safe and know that if I need any help, the staff will be there for me. I love living here and so thankful this is my home.

I moved my mother into Addington place in December. Staff is great and very helpful. Staff helped in setting up cable and internet, catering to her diabetic needs, and providing assistance with medication.Whenever I need a question a question answered or need someone to check on her, I can call and they are always their to help.My mother loves it. I rarely get a chance to speak with because she is always doing something, the social atmosphere is great for residents.
My parents moved to Addington Place of Johns Creek in the fall as a stroke had limited my father's mobility and their care needs had increased. After touring multiple facilities, I felt like Addington Place was the best fit for them. The facility really feels like home. There is a communal dining area, a piano, fireplace, and even a library. The residents spend a lot of time interacting in the common areas and not just shut up in their rooms. Mary, our tour guide, is a gem! I could tell that she truly loves her job and the people she helps. She gave a great deal of support to our family as Mom and Dad transitioned from an apartment to an assisted living environment. Quentin, the director, is invested in each resident, and the support staff always has a kind word and a smile for my parents. There are so many activities available for those living at Addington! They host area musicians and speakers providing entertainment for residents. They play bingo and do crafts. I also appreciate the transportation to the grocery and appointments. I have great peace of mind knowing that they are no longer on their own and are being cared for. I am very pleased with Addington Place.
I recommend Addington place of Johns Creek to anyone needing care for their mother or father or family member at that. Quinton Jones the GM is very nice and he welcomes you right on if you need anything he will be there to help. Devin the wellness director is so sweet love her to death! If you have any problems or concerns for your room or for the building Jamal takes really good care of that building and the residents as well. They have a really good team and really good caregivers that really show compassionate about their job. The building is very clean, the meals are great and everyone is always joyful! They have bingo, live entertainment, movies, snacks and more!I give this place of 5 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟!Love, ASHLEY ♥️
