Staff Overview and Training
We have 400 employees that range from front of house food and beverage staff to wound care specialists. All employees have unique training and certification for their areas of specialization. ALL employees must have fingerprint clearance cards and undergo a thorough background check.
Safety and Well-being Measures
This is difficult to summarize, but we have a 24-hour security team with EMTs on staff, pull cord alarm systems, emergency pendants, and trained responders. Can you be more specific in your question?
Transition Support Services
We have a Resident Welcome Committee and a new resident orientation process that connects the resident to leaders in each department.
Transportation Services
Transportation to medical appointments within an 18-mile radius is provided. Additionally, group shopping and outings are frequent across the community.
Dining Experience
Residents receive a $450 meal credit per month to be used at any of our 5 restaurants in Independent Living. Typically equates to 30-35 meals per month. Anything over the allotted amount is billed to the resident on the subsequent month. Should a permanent move to a higher level of care be made, 3 meals a day will be provided.
Complaints and Issues Resolution
Residents can report any complaints or issues they want addressed through our established channels, ensuring prompt and effective resolution.
Communication with Residents' Families
The resident will determine who is included in their care planning, and we are available for touch bases as needed. Our Health Care Navigator (leadership role) will determine when familial involvement is necessitated, and work with family/resident to make important decisions regarding the appropriate level of care.
Short-term or Respite Stays
90 temporary days (to be used in any higher level of care) are included with your life care plan, so that you may utilize the Health Care Center neighborhoods while still maintaining your independent living home. You would pay your normal monthly rate (if 1 person) with an additional meal fee of $25/day.
Pet Policy
Yes, up to 2 animals may be in the home, no puppies or kittens.
Vaccination Services
Yes, there is a 3rd party nurse practitioner that offices on our property and provides Covid vaccination, flu vaccinations, and more.
Aging in Place
Yes, with the appropriate in-home care, we are seeing more and more residents choose to remain in Independent Living with assistive care. We have two services that office here as well and can be referred to for additional help in the home.
