Nearly a year ago my Mom's care home (which she loved) was sold without notice.  I had to quickly find a home for Mom that she would like as well.  It was my good fortune that Pat, Debbie and Kendall had an opening at All About Seniors at 1474 Pompey Dr.  After moving in Mom would often ask how I found this place - she liked her room better than where she was before because her room was so big, bright and cheery - and even had a private restroom!  She loved Nelly, Annabelle, and her other care givers - she felt their love every day.  The meals Nelly cooked were so good . . . (she would give me a taste every now & then - yum, yum!)  Because she was legally blind, Mom had trouble participating in their many activities, but although she couldn't color or read, she definitely could listen to the many musicians that came to entertain them, and Mom would tell me how wonderful it was that they played music she knew.  The fact they only had six rooms made it easier for Mom to navigate the house with her limited vision.  The handrails in the halls were another excellent feature that made it easy for Mom to use her walker to walk to her room.  I used to visit my Mom most days of the week and can vouch for the excellent care that was provided 7 days a week.  Whenever there was a problem with Mom's health, I would get an immediate phone call advising me of the situation.  I never had to worry because I knew she was being closely cared for.  I recently lost my Mom to a massive stroke, but if I personally needed a care home, this place would be at the top of my list.

My Mom was very happy at 1474 Pompey Dr. The staff there was really special, professional and warm but very engaged with everyone. Because the staff live there with the residents there is a continuity of awareness of the residents needs and how they are getting along.  My Mom was in Hospice so the staff was in frequent communication with the hospice nurses. I felt that Nell the care giver was very pro-active in requesting the nurse to attend to issues my Mom was having. Nell and my Mom had genuine affection for each other which is was reassuring to know my Mom was well cared for.

We were looking for a place for my 96-year-old father-in-law.  I can't convey how helpful Kendall was to us.  He met us at the residence and explained every aspect of the board and care home.  His kindness, honesty and forthrightness really impressed us.  At this point in our search, we had visited a couple of other homes where we really had learned nothing close to the information that Kendall gave to us.  The organization and cleanliness of the home was obvious.  Residents looked happy and well cared for.  In the end, we chose another home because it provided a larger room and there was another male resident which we thought would make my father-in-law more comfortable.  In spite of our final choice, I would still recommend All About Seniors for their honesty, cleanliness, organization, and care.

Pat, Debbie, and their staff, provided the best place possible for my mom. The level of care provided is much greater than that of the larger assisted living facilities.  For many seniors suffering from dementia, the activities based formula of larger facilities, is simply an environment to neglect the elder that cannot or won't  participate.  Board and Care with its much improved caregiver to resident ratio is the answer. All About Seniors gave my mom the environment that was most suited to her.  My family stands in gratitude for their dedication to a dignified life for seniors.

You can't do better than this home. My mother spent 3 years here before she passed away. Pat and Debbie Hall were compassionate and accomodating. They have several homes and keep them all spotless all the time. The furniture is in excellent condition and very comfortable.  Healthy home cooked meals 3 times a day. The staff really cares for their charges as if they were their own children. THere are many tears all around when ever a resident passes. It was like having my own sister right there caring for my mom until she passed. Really. They provide entertainments for the seniors at all holidays. If needed they will even take mom to the doctor's appt.I cannot recommend All About Seniors highly enough. Its a quiet restful atmosphere. They have a quiet time every afternoon. There is no blaring TV or radio. Only 6 residents so they all get individual attention. THe home is light and bright, not dark and gloomy like several others I had looked at. Mom was very fond of her care giver, Anabelle. I could telephone or visit any time. The Halls really understand the problems of having to finally put your parent into a home. They personally picked up my mom from the hospital and took her to the home so I wouldn't have to be the bad guy and make her go there against her wishes. She had dementia and didn't understand the need for her to have 24 hour care. She settled in quickly and was soon very happy with her new home. She loved the food. It was such a relief to me to have peace of mind that she was happy and well cared for.

I just  cannot say enough  positive  things about this wonderful house and staff.  The owners, the Hall's, have put together a lovely and welcoming home that is both friendly and supportive of all it's residents.  My mother spent eight months there before passing and as she deteriorated the staff and owners stepped forward to give her the most amazing and loving care and always with an eye for her total comfort.  There is constant preparation of home-made meals and the house is run on a very consistent schedule.  Visitors are always welcome and the staff is always accommodating of family and their wishes.  Our family will always be grateful that our mother was able to spend her last months in this house and with these loving people.  The owners are exceptionally compassionate people and were so warm and generous to me in dealing with my mother's decline.  I will always be deeply indebted to them for their loving help.

If I could give 100 stars to All About Seniors, I would! My mother stayed here a few years ago, and my dad is still in independent living with an agency that sends caregivers for a couple hours a day, but I'll be trying to move him here when the time comes and he needs more assistance. This is truly a lovely little care home for seniors, wouldn't even know it from passing by. They had their priorities straight when it came to my mother, which is most important. One of my friends whose mother lived there before, told me about it. Only problem for me was it was a bit far from me in Sunnyvale, but worth the little commute to have my mom in a place where I felt I could trust the staff and owners. Neighborhood/street is quiet, staff are easy to talk to, and it was much more affordable than the "memory care" facility my mother was in before. Plus the staff are the same people every day, which is better because I was able to develop a rapport. They were way more on top of things than the big dementia care unit ever was, and my mom had a good time at All About Seniors her last couple of years of life. It was much more like she was in her own home again, rather than in a big facility.
