My mom is in her 3rd yr at Woodland Ridge and has transitioned from Assisted Living to Memory Care. I am very critical about the way in which my mother receives care- as I would presume most are. I have to say, I could not be more pleased. I am continually impressed with the programming at Woodland Ridge as well as the staff. It is obvious the staff at Woodland Ridge genuinely care about their residents and the quality of life they live there. It is not a choice I would wish on anyone, but if you have to make the choice- Woodland Ridge is exceptional! You wont be disappointed.👍💯❤💙💚💜
I love this place. I wasn't sure how I would "mesh" because I am only 36 and everyone else is a senior citizen. BUT most of them are very active and 100% of them have nothing but positive things to say. My only regret is that I didn't find out about this place years ago when I first needed it. In case you are wondering why I'm here, I had major complications after childbirth and now require 24hr care. The baby is 3 now and lives with my aunt. My two teens stay with me and my husband. He works full time and I attend the Woodland Ridge day program 9a-5p while everyone is at work and school. This place is awesome and keeps me busy. Not to mention the food is EXCELLENT!
My Mother spent almost a year here. We thought she would hate leaving her home but she loved Woodland Ridge from the first day. She loved the setting and all the caregivers, and I do, too. Even though Mom died a few months ago, I have to go by every week to see all the friends we made while she was there. Thank you, good folks, for helping our family when we needed you most!
I spent 8 months as a resident of Woodland Ridge Asst. Living in 2016 and it was great. I was treated with the upmost attention and care from the staff and everyone . I didn't only experience as a resident, my sister, Sara Flowers was a resident for years and she always praised how everyone was so helpful and nice. I advise anyone needing their service to check it out.Barry Jones.
My aunt has been living there for several years and she likes her place. We frequently go to visit with her and bring her home when we can. She is a sweet, delightful person and she is treated very well there. I'm thankful for her cozy, homey place., thank you for all your services. J.D.
I have been a volunteer visiting all the Woodland Ridge residents over the past few years and have a wonderful relationship with many of the staff and patients. However, I'm now very concerned with the main motivation of management and their direction. Reason being, many employees have been leaving and recently in a conversation with management, they were more concerned about gossip involving negligence in their facility rather than how to fix the potential issues. It really appears to be a bizarre mindset and paranoia right now. I really care for the people and staff there and hope things change going forward.
In comparison to other facilities this place is subpar. Also, much of the staff that I know are the ones giving the best reviews so this overall score isn’t accurate. There is lots of turnover here because of pay and many have left to become personal caretakers or at other competitive paying places. There was a time this place was better but I wouldn’t want a loved one here now unless I had no other options. Also, theres too much fast food and sugar served here and a lack of filtered water or any water which may be a issue with the state, not sure. I hope it turns around for the patients sake.
WOODLAND RIDGE REVIEW FOR GOOGLE14 Feb 2018My wife was a resident in Assisted Living and Memory Care at Woodland Ridge for 3 years. I visited this facility almost every day of that three years and I still go to visit the staff and some of the residents.Staff members were and are always cheerful and encouraging to all the residents as far as I could see then and now. Being there at all hours almost every day, I was and am impressed with their dedication and cheerful attitude. They were always very helpful when I expressed a need for information. They kept a close eye on the medical needs of each resident. The staff had almost no turnover in the aids and none in the senior ranks. I NEVER detected any conflicts between staff members then or now. They became extended family to me and to my wife. I still visit frequently to visit my “friends” and that is how they greet me.Woodland Ridge has various activities from late morning through the afternoon that they encourage the residents to attend dependent on their individual interest. The activities range from music by visiting musicians, visiting spiritual personnel from various faiths, visits by therapy animals and outside trips to various restaurants, to outside bar b que festivals. In Memory Care, the residents are all kept involve in games, and other activities each day if they are able and once per week, taken on a tour on the Woodland bus if they are able. All this is coordinated by the Woodland Ridge Activities Director and the Memory Care Director. They also have seasonal celebration parties for the residents and their families as well as mall and scenery trips in the spring, summer and fall.I think the food there is excellent. I ate there numerous times with my wife and the food was excellent each time. If for some reason she did not want what was on the menu, then they fixed her a sandwich or meal she wanted. The kitchen and menu is supervised by a professional cook and the staff there are top notch in service and food.My daughter visited several facilities before picking this one. I can honestly say that this is where I would choose for me if I had the option and ability to make that decision.Sam Belcher
The stage of life when adult children become the caregivers to aging parents is a turbulent time during which existing relationships are upended. In our case, as our mother slips into dementia, the care provided by the staff at Woodland Ridge has both comforted her and reassured us. It is an unavoidably difficult ailment to deal with, and we are grateful for the guidance and assistance provided by the Woodland Ridge team as we work to provide the best care possible.
I had to place a friend I was caring for in assisted living 2 years ago; I chose Woodland Ridge and have been totally pleased with all aspects of her care. She has now been placed in Memory Care and I continue to be so pleased with staff and facilities at Woodland Ridge. Not fancy but so caring and family-like and that is what really matters.
I've been employed here at Woodland Ridge for 2 years. I wanted to work here long before that, ever since my ombudsman friend recommended Woodland Ridge. I love my job and my residents so much that I decided to move my Mother here last November. There's such a family atmosphere here, where everyone looks out for each other. We have exceptional care for our residents and families, and our staff feel valued and appreciated.
My Mom is in memory care and I'm so thankful for these good people. Many more caregivers than the other places we looked into and they are very patient and loving with the residents. Mom is very happy in her surroundings and though she can't actually join in most of the activities I believe she is much better with the stimulation. She is certainly much happier than she was isolated in her home with just one caregiver.
