Here are my questions.
Do you guys currently have a waitlist?
The only waitlist we have is for a two-bedroom apartment. We have several AL apartments ranging from studio and one bedroom. I would love to have you visit our community and let me provide you with an experience.
What types of people do you have on your staff? What kind of training do they get?
We have 3 nurses – Memory Care Director, Resident Wellness Director and an Assistant Resident Wellness Director. The remaining staff in resident care involve certified Medication Technicians and Resident Care Specialist. We have a well put together onboarding/training program. We provide ongoing training in the area of their needs throughout the year. All associates are drug screened and have background checks performed through SLED.
What kinds of things do you all do to make sure residents are safe?
If they require Memory Care that is a locked unit to prevent an elopement. On our Assisted Living the doors lock at 8:00 p.m. After 8:00 p.m. you can get out but have to call the nurses line to get in. We are constantly addressing any safety concerns that may arise. Our standard staff to resident ratio is 1:6 or 1:8.
Do you all help with moving logistics when a resident moves into the community?
We can provide assistance once moved in and we also have resources for movers. Our maintenance director is helpful in hanging pictures and TV mounts etc.
Do you offer transportation services for residents?
Yes, we have a bus that we do transportation in. Tuesday and Thursday’s are the days we transport residents to and from doctor’s appointments. We have outings on Monday, Wednesday and Friday’s.
What happens if a resident is unhappy or has a complaint?
Any issues would first go to the Clinical Director and if not resolved you would come to me.
What is the cost of your community?
That would depend on if you were looking at Memory Care or Assisted Living. Assisted living ranges from $3145 p/mo. - $3565 p/mo. There will also be a Level of Care charge. There are 5 levels of care and they are in $400 increments. For example, a level 3 would be an additional charge of $1200 p/mo. Memory Care is $6257 p/mo - $6360 p/mo. No level of care charges in Memory Care.
How do you all communicate with families?
We use Sagely Family App for community happenings. We also can communicate by phone or e-mail.
Do you all offer short-term or respite stays? How much does this cost?
$200 p/day
Are you all a pet-friendly community?
Yes, up to 25 lbs. – one time pet fee $500
