Overview of Professional Staff and Training
We have varying levels of professionals on staff, such as our Executive Director, Director of Environmental Services, Director of Health Services, Director of Resident Services, Director of Life Enrichment, Director of Sales and Marketing, Director of Dining Services, Director of Maintenance, Managers of each department, Supervisors of each department, Social Services professional, LVNs, NACs, Caregivers, Med-Techs, Housekeeping, Maintenance, Wait Staff, Life Enrichment Staff and various volunteers.
Safety and Well-being Measures
We have regular safety and emergency training, fire drills, earthquake drills and ongoing training related to safety.
Resources for Transitioning Residents
We have a wonderful mentor program, here, that is run by the residents, marketing, social services and resident services.
Transportation Services
We do have shuttle transportation to medical/dental within a 10-mile radius and shopping loops in a 5-mile radius.
Dining Experience
Our dining experience is table service with wait staff; our menus are planned out in 7-week increments and we have featured entrees that change daily in addition to our standard entrée and side dish offerings. There is no tipping, no assigned seating and we serve all 3 meals in our Main Dining Room.
Resident Grievance Process
Our process for grievances is to hopefully resolve directly with the employee at the time of grievance, if not, then a meeting with our Director of Resident Services, if the grievance needs to be taken a step further than on to our Executive Director. We also provide the contact information for the Long Term Care Ombudsman within in our resident handbook and postings found in and around our campus.

Communication with Residents' Families
We (either our Director of Resident Services, Director of Health Services, Social Services or Executive Director) visit (through their requested means of communication) with the resident’s Power of Attorney, should a need arises.
Short-term or Respite Stays
If we have availability, we can offer respite stays. Respite stays for a 1 bedroom apartment are $385.00/day.

Waitlist Information
Yes, we do have a wait list. There is a $1,500 refundable wait list deposit along with providing a completed wait list application packet. To join our wait list we would need our application packet completed and along with a refundable $1,500 wait list deposit.

We are conveniently located within five minutes of downtown Santa Barbara and one mile from the beach.
