My mother-in-law had always been terrified of being put in an institution. By her early 90’s she had Parkinson’s and Dementia. It got to a point where her 99 year old husband could no longer care for her. It was a blessing to find Violet Gardens. It’s a home, not an institution. There were only 6 other residents but 24 hour care. It was really a difficult start with my mother-in-law refusing to cooperate in any measure. Marvia and her staff were incredibly patient, allowing my mother-in-law to get comfortable with her new situation. There were days when we spent an incredible amount of time on the phone trying to figure out how to best make my mother-in-law comfortable. After about a month, things really quieted down. It was so terrific that there was support within the home 24 hours a day who would make my mother-in-law anything she wanted to eat. Marvia had also made arrangements for a pharmacy and doctor to visit Violet Gardens, meaning that we did not need to drive her around. This was a great option for our family. My father-in-law is still in Florida. Although he is not living in Violet Gardens, Marvia remains support for us with out continuing issues. Can not tell you how much we appreciate the support we got from Marvia and her staff.
No complaints. They took good care of my 98 y/0 father. At 98, my father couldn’t beat pneumonia at his age. Nice place and better care in a house atmosphere. Good people, and good care. Whatever care he needed, they made it happen. The nurse/owner, Marvia, did a great job keeping everything supplied and clean. Tuff job for her in this COVID times. No one had COVID, there to my knowledge. I was around there for 11 months.
One of the better places to take your love ones to. I was having a hard time finding a place for my father When I Sound Violet gardens. They made the rest of his time easy on us. The only problem we had was the owner can be a little stern somtimes that's why 4 stars instead of 5. I have recommended them to my friends.P.s. I don't usually post reviews but I felt that I had to this time.
One of the best places I have ever had the pleasure of dealing with. The only reason that I'm not there any more is because I had to move my mom out of state. Marvia was very accommodating And even help me get her in another place with my mom who needs around the clock care. I'm hoping the next place has the same work ethic. I can't recommend her enough.
Horrible place.. Had to move my uncle asap due to neglect and a drowning.Never had good food, wasnt allowed to watch tv, or any kind of entertainment.Marvia the owner allowed my uncle to suffer with a gum infection ..Thank God I took over and got him to a dentist to where the dr said his infection was so extreme it could have compromised his health.Marvia was extremly cheap that she wouldnt buy diapers but only pads which was a joke. Hopefully she wont be in business long..TERRIBLE PLACE.. I wouldnt even give it one star, but you have to in order to continue..
