Overview of Professional Staff and Training
Employee training in our community can happen in many different forms such as online courses, one-on-one training with Department Director or Regional Teams, hands-on training, etc.
Safety and Well-being Measures
There are many different measures we take here at Thunderbird to ensure our residents' safety. We do twice a day unobtrusive safety checks using a door magnet system. Each resident has a life-alert pendant that works 24/7. In Independent Living, the pendant will alert the front desk. In Assisted Living, the pendant will alert the care staff. All exterior doors to the building are locked 24/7 besides the front door that will be unlocked during business hours.
Resources and Support for New Residents
Yes, our Leadership Team has a Welcome Home Program in place to help new residents acclimate into the community seamlessly. We also have a Resident Ambassadors Program, within this program the Resident Ambassadors will greet/welcome the new residents after move in.
Transportation Services
The community provides transportation to medical appointments, shopping trips, banks, pharmacies, etc.
Dining Experience
Our dining hall is restaurant style. Breakfast is served from 7:00am to 10:00am. Lunch and dinner is served from 11:30am to 6:00pm. For lunch/dinner, the chef makes three new meal options for each day. Including a soup and salad of the day. If the resident would not like to dine in, we provide to go orders or room service at an extra cost.

The resident can set up an appointment or phone call with the department Director or our Executive Director.
Communication with Residents' Families
We work closely with residents, residents' family members, POA’s, or point of contacts. If there are concerns, we update families or point of contacts via phone.
Short-term or Respite Stays
Yes, we offer respite stays in our Assisted Living. It is a minimally furnished studio. The studio rate is $4,270 a month plus the resident’s Level of Care. In Independent Living, we can offer a short-term stay. Prices will vary.
Pet-Friendly Community
Yes, Thunderbird is a pet-friendly community. We allow dogs, cats, fish, and birds. Dogs will have a 40 pound weight limit.
Waitlist Information
Yes, we have a waitlist for select apartment styles in Independent Living and Memory Care.
Covid and Flu Vaccinations
Yes, we have held Covid and flu vaccine clinics in our community in the past.
