Thrive At Jones Farm Description
We've taken the blueprint for traditional senior living and put it right where it belongs—in the trash can. There's nothing worse than traditional senior living communities. The smell alone is enough to make you want to vomit. We believe that if a community's focus is only on care, they don't care enough. At Thrive at Jones Farm, we believe that great care is just a by-product of bigger and better things. Our promise is to give your loved one a day that is as purpose-filled as possible, and then string those days together until they last a lifetime.Assisted Living
If you're looking for a place to live that values your independence, and provides assistance with daily activities, look no further than assisted living! Our amazing team members are always available to help you as much or as little as you need!Memory Care
Memory Care is a place for those whose minds are slowly fading. Whether it be from Alzheimer's, dementia, or other causes, we provide a home and community for them. The entire Thrive at Jones Farm team is NIDE certified, from the chefs to the concierge. We know exactly what we're doing. I currently work here and LOVE it... It’s so rewarding to see so much life in a senior community! We have some new senior leaders that are so passionate about our residents which leads to a GREAT quality of life!!! That’s so hard to find!!! I love love love seeing our residents THRIVE!!!!
I recently moved to Huntsville and Thrive has one of the most beautiful sceneries in this area. Many residents take walks outside and others sit on the terrace or back patio to enjoy the trees and the mountain side. Residents are enthusiastic about the daily activities that encourage socializing. I can't say enough positive things about the team and how much they truly care for and look after each resident as if they were their own parent or grandparent. This is definitely a place where older adults can thrive.
Both of my parents reside at Thrive at Jones Farm. One parent is in Assisted Living the other in Memory Care. I cannot begin to express just how happy I am with the care my parents are receiving. The nursing staff is wonderful. They keep me up-to-date on my parents health, lab work, and general health. They are quick to have them seen by the CRNP or doctor when needed. They have called for x-rays, sonogram and lab work that was all able to be done without leaving the building. They take my parents health and wellness seriously. The Personal Care Assistants are very good at their jobs and go the second mile. One of my dad's Care Assistants goes as far as making sure to write down for him all the Univ. of Tennessee games, what time and channel they are on so he never misses a game. I also appreciate all the activities and opportunities they have for socializing with other residents. From the red carpet that was rolled out when they arrived to the holiday celebrations to celebrating National Donut Day, there is always fun in the air. I truly believe that my parents receive the very best care possible.
Thrive has been the biggest blessing as I decided to move my loved one to assisted living. Their open communication, intentional care and loving community helps to ease my worry and reassure me that this was the best next step. I can clearly see the positive impact that the environment at Thrive continues to make on my loved one’s day-to-day and overall standard of living.
Thrive at Jones Farms has truly been a blessing to my mom & to our family . It was hard for her & our family to make the decision to move her from her home. But it has been the best decision ever! Rachael , Jessica & all the staff have been so supportive helping us through the transition. My mom has been there since February & she has been living her best life! It’s so comforting to know she is has a safe ,comfortable place to live in. She enjoys the meals, all the activities & making new friends. She hasn’t been this happy is years! My mom is definitely Thriving here!
Leadership with Donna Olsen heading it up will never be good. She has job hopped all over town and continues to speak poorly about her previous teams and facilities. When she left Thrive the first time she had nothing nice to say about Thrive. Shocked that she is back there now with all the negative comments that were made. She continues to make scathing remarks about her team, residents and their families. This is disheartening.
I don’t have much experience with the facility itself but I overheard a conversation of a woman speaking about her staff and I was truly appalled. I did have to research in order to find out where she was talking about but with social media today it is not hard to find out such information. Her name was Donna Olsen and she went on with such negative comments which included degrading her staffs intelligence, their skills and how she could do everything so much better. Such high praise for herself and disrespect for her staff. A true leader would not ever do this to the people that truly do the work. She also mentioned how exhausting it is to deal with families of the residents because they were not smart enough to understand COVID-19. I would never consider Thrive as an option for my parents if she were the one at the helm. Truly horrified at her disrespect and disregard for people.
I have worked in nursing homes and assisted living facilities for the past 12 years. I have seen many different guests in many different homes. When I walk in at Thrive I see the guests interacting with each other sitting outside on the benches, walking on the sidewalks in front of the building, eating together, in activities and devotions together. And I rarely see someone that isn't smiling and welcoming me into their home and community. All of the guests that speak about the food always brag on it and talk about how good it is. The facility is beautiful. The care specialists, nurses, housekeeping, dietary and even maintenance are always so willing to help the guests and their friends and family that come to visit. I have to say that every place has room for improvement but it is not evident even while here on a day to day basis. I very much enjoy being part of the team at Thrive. The guests make me happy to be here and it would be hard for them to do that if they weren't happy being here.
