My mother currently resides in this facility and she is a invalid. I go to see her on my day off being Saturday or Sunday. My wife and I went to visit on Sunday of this weekend and we immediately noticed my mother's right hand was visibly swollen and black and blue. We got no where with trying to figure out how this happened and we where told by the head nurse Cathy that there was no incident report about it. She then got defensive and said my mother could of did it to herself. Again let me make it clear that my mother is a bedridden, invalid with dementia and she doesn't have any mobility on her left side and she can only move her right hand. There is absolutely nothing around her that she could of hit that would hurt her in anyway. After getting no where with the staff at the facility we contacted the local authorities who came out and did a report and today we contacted the office of aging who has assigned a case worker to do a thorough investigation on the incident. The staff at this facility are very unprofessional and down right ghetto. The smells coming from unchanged diapers is disgusting to say the least. I sit and listen to the staff disrespect the elderly patients every time I'm there. I wouldn't recommend this facility to anyone for any reason. Please do your research.
