Assisted Living Costs
In Assisted Living, there are two charges. One is for the cost of the apartment, and one is for the cost of the care. Those two costs will make up the monthly charge.
Care Level Assessment
The level of care is determined by an assessment completed by our nurse. The assessment is based off of a point system. We offer 5 levels of care:
- Level 1 - $600.00
- Level 2 - $1,000.00
- Level 3 - $1,400.00
- Level 4 - $1,900.00
- Level 5 - $2,400.00
Apartment Costs
- Studio Apartments: starting at $2,995.00 (based on availability)
- One Bedroom apartments: starting at $3,695.00 (based on availability)
- Two Bedroom apartments: starting at $5,395.00 (based on availability)
Community Fee
There is a one-time community fee in the amount of $3,500.00. We use this fee to keep our community beautiful! Check it out here.

Welcome to Harmony at Columbia
Harmony at Columbia is a beautiful senior living community located off Clemson Road in NE Columbia. Our community offers a range of senior living options to provide as much or as little assistance as you may need. Choose from Independent Living, Assisted Living, or Memory Care to get the right level of support from our caring, expert team. We are committed to serving our residents in a way that provides comfort and enrichment in your life.
Beautifully designed accommodations set the bar high for distinctive senior living at Harmony at Columbia, but it's our care that really set us apart. Our community offers amenities reminiscent of a fine resort, with large spacious apartments, an onsite beauty salon and barbershop, 24-hour fitness center, restaurant style dining with chef prepared meals, our own café and bistro and a friendly team available around the clock to answer your call.
Levels of Care
Most of our residents place at levels 1, 2, and 3 but we do have a few residents who have higher levels of care. For example, a resident who is a level 1 may only need medication management, bathing assistance, or prompting and cueing for bathing, getting dressed in the morning, and/or mealtime reminders, but for the most part is independent. A resident who places at levels 2 or 3 would be someone who needed medication management and additional help throughout the day with activities of daily living (ADL'S) such as dressing, bathing, and going to the restroom.
There are other ADL'S that add points to the levels of care system, here are some examples (this list is not exhaustive):
- Diabetics who require insulin or blood sugar monitoring
- A diagnosis of a terminal disease
- Oxygen requirements
- Wheelchair boundedness
- Incontinence
- "Medications" such as eye drops, inhalers, breathing treatments, etc.
- Assistance with hearing aids
Each of the ADL'S (of many) carries a number of points with them based on the amount of time and care the resident will need.

- All utilities excluding phone, internet, and cable
- Maintenance
- Three restaurant style meals a day and snacks in between
- Transportation
- Activities both inside and outside the community to meet social, physical, and intellectual interests
- Weekly Housekeeping
- Personal laundry service (twice a week)
- Daily Trash Removal
- Package Delivery to the unit
- Fitness and Health Programs
- Available clinical staff 24 hours a day
- Emergency Call System present in the apartment
