Overview of Staff and Training
Our Executive Director holds a BA and four different licenses. All other positions are trained by Regional and/or corporate staff, while line staff are trained by managers.
Safety and Well-being Measures
We have a safety committee that meets monthly to review any incidents. The ED holds an Infection Preventionist designation from the States of Oregon and California. We provide regular education sessions with staff and residents in safety.
Resources for Transitioning Residents
Our Community Development Coordinator, Haylee, connects with all new residents to help them become acclimated to communal living. She also connects new residents to a resident ambassador for a greater connection to the community. Haylee follows each resident for their first 90 days, making herself available for guidance and leadership.
Transportation Services
We do have transportation to doctor appointments (within 10 miles of our community). We also offer offsite shopping, dining, and additional activities as well.
Dining Experience
All residents receive 3 meals a day, included in their rent. We are restaurant style. Orders are taken at the table. We offer 2 choices of entrée w/ homemade soup or salad bar (fresh daily). Snacks (fruit) and treats are available each afternoon.
Addressing Complaints and Issues
Each resident has the right to speak directly to our Executive Director. She is known for her “open door” policy.
Communication with Residents' Families
As an Independent Living Community, we do not report directly to families. However, if we see that a resident is having issues, we will reach out to their emergency contact person.
Short-term or Respite Stays
We do have the availability for guest stays. Respite stays do involve care, and we are not licensed to provide physical care to our residents.
Pet-Friendly Community
Yes, we are a pet-friendly community.
Covid and Flu Vaccinations
We offer an annual clinic for flu vaccines. As long as it is available to us, this same clinic will provide COVID boosters. Clinics are provided by an outside vendor and most insurances are accepted. (Kaiser is not usually accepted).
Aging in Place
We encourage aging in place as long as the resident remains independent or the family coordinates with outside providers for care.
