No Wait List for Assisted Living
To answer your questions, we don’t have a wait list for assisted living as of right now.
Staff Training and Experience
Our staff consists of multiple departments that undergo the training needed for their specific job as well as our BFF program for dementia residents. On top of that, we also do virtual dementia training so our staff gets a glimpse of what it feels like to have dementia and how important it is to be patient and understanding. We also do CPR classes for any staff interested. Here at Stonebridge, we have a lot of seasoned workers! Most of our staff has been here for 20 years or so. We also have Ivy Tech and high school students come here throughout the year to get their clinical training. The students and residents love talking to each other.
Safety and Emergency Preparedness
We go through fire drill trainings and have taken classes on what to do if there is an intruder. Our clinical staff is quick to respond to any injury as well.
Support and Social Services
For any concerns, we have social services, although we will all lend an ear and listen to any concerns anyone has and help anyway we can. Next month, we will be starting a support group for family members that have family members living with dementia.
Transportation and Outings
We do offer transportation; we also go on outings every Tuesday and Thursdays!
Dining Experience
For our dining, you receive three meals a day that is included with your stay whether that be short term or long term. We always have a meal of the day but if that doesn’t sound appealing then the resident is able to circle other options on our café menu. Whether that be a cheeseburger, fish, chicken, salad, etc. We also know that everyone has a preference on food they like or don't like so we work as hard as possible to ensure they receive the food they want. For example, one of our residents wants breakfast food for all three meals, so we make that happen.
Cost and Accommodations
The cost differs depending on the size of the room. I would love to give you a tour to show you our rooms and go over pricing. The base rate is monthly and there is no contract needed. We include 3 meals a day, fully furnished room, telephone, housekeeping services, laundry, maintenance, and activities. We also have a beautician come in twice a week. We also charge a level of care, this is depending on how much nursing care they need! We have 4 different levels for our assisted living. Level 1 is $0/month and the max is a level 4 which is $1,690 month. We also collect a deposit, this can be placed before move in and is refundable until move in.
Communication and Family Involvement
For communication, we of course ensure the family member is on their emergency contact list in order for us to answer any questions about their stay. The nurses will call if there is a major change or if they have concerns. Family is able to call or pop in anytime to ask questions and get updates.
Rehabilitation, Respite, and Hospice Care
We do offer short term rehab and respites as well as adult days! For short term rehab, we are able to run insurance to see what insurance covers. They would need a 3 night hospital stay for insurance to cover 5 days a week of therapy. We do have options to run part B insurance so our residents can get 2-3 days of therapy. For a respite, we charge differently depending on the room and the service line. It can range anywhere from $200/day to $349/day! Hospice also covers a 5 day respite if they have hospice.
Pets, Vaccinations, and Aging in Place
For pets, we love to have them visit but they don't stay here. We do offer pneumonia, flu, and covid vaccines here. Are residents able to age in place? This is one of the great things about Stonebridge is we want them to age in place. We understand that a lot of moves and change can be hard on a person. So, we keep them where they are for as long as we can! We want to do what is best for our residents, so we always work hard on coming up with plans that best fit their situation.
Activities and Engagement
There is so much we offer here including monthly brunches, themed weeks, family nights, and my favorite is live a dream! We figure out what that resident's dream is and we try to make it happen!
