Horrible call light response time. My sister is there and the way they treat her and her roommate is embarrassing. Basic needs such as cutting fingernails the nurses view as huge burdens. The only person you can get on the phone is the receptionist. A lot of the employees I liked seem to have quit.
St. Matthews is unfortunately one of the few places I need to give an unfavorable review of, due to the atmosphere, and upkeep of this "Care Care". While visiting an Family friend I have noticed on numerous occasions staff fighting with other members of staff in front of patients and guests. Additionally, there have been numerous occasions where no one will answer the phone on the weekends. Besides for poor staffing, I have also noticed that the building has a roach infestation. Because of these issues, I cannot recommend St. Matthews.
After my first visit to a friend aka (Unnamed), I see roaches and water bugs in rooms. No one answers phones on weekends. Staff constantly smoking in the parking lot within sight of residents, although it is a non-smoking facility. CNAs were always yelling across the hallways in a non-professional manner.
My mother was at Masonic Home before coming to St Matthews Care Center. Although I do not have any big complaints with MH, the level of service at St Matthews Care Center has far exceeded my expectations. They are much more personable and go out of their way to treat their patients like family.
I liked the place everyone was friendly and polite thank you for taking time to greet me Just knowing that my Daughter Donna Hansford will be taking care of the only draw back I have is the Visitation don't think half an hour is long enough but that's your policy Thank you Shirley Robinson Mother I put this on this post before I read a lot of interviews I can honestly say I didn't like them on bit so I'm saying if anything happens to my Daughter Donna Hansford I will be looking into this
St. Matthew’s Care Center has new and Improved services ranging from short term rehab and long term care. Clean and professional atmosphere with continuity in care. On-site hemodialysis, in-house hospice/palliative care unit, new respiratory recovery program… I could keep going! Great place to work if you’re in the profession of caring. Great place to come for rehabilitation and/or long term care. We aspire to provide great relationships, quality care and exceed expectations.
Wow what can I say? Ali, Joanna, Amy, Taylor and the rest of the staff at St. Matthews have been nothing but exceptional. They have been on the ball responsive and compassionate during this difficult time with my dad. I couldn’t recommend St. Matthews enough. I am SO thankful for them and the support they provided my family.
We recently brought our mother to this facility by hospice. So far so good the ladies, nurses and staff that we have experienced has been very helpful and attentive very kind. Any questions problems or issues that we have had have been addressed and taken care of in a timely manner. The rooms are a little outdated but other than that and overall good experience so far.
This place is horrible!! The communication there is awful, the way they talk to family and resident is horrible as well. I have had to call everyday since my grandma has been there 7,8,9 times just trying to talk to her. They always have an excuse. 90% of the time she’s just laying in the bed.
My mother lives at St. Matthews Care Center. I have been very impressed with how they have handled things during this pandemic. I receive a daily automated call from the administrator with updates and details related to what is happening in the building and what they are doing to keep covid away. I appreciate that.
