I have been working for Spring Hills Home Care Services for 3 yrs. This has been an amazing experience. The management team has been greatly supportive to my growth and the overall growth of the company. The compassion the team shows to not only our clients but also one another has been a breathe of fresh air. As I continue my opportunity with Spring Hills I am looking forward to all the great things in the future.
I do not write reviews but my friend Has been sharing the situations that have been arising. Would not allow my mom to be there unless there were radical changes. You have to be involved in there care daily but with COVID that's not as easy. They had no hot water for showers for along time. That was a cryin shame. Why did the administrator step up and act... Then there is incompetent staff dispensing meds also that's major. Then there is a aid there named Veronica that in my opinion should not be giving care. Has a attitude problem but nothing changes there either. Should not be giving baths either refused to shower my friend and insisted doing clean up in a chair. So before you write a review you need to know some facts. Some people are memory impaired so they need extra attention and care ... Not the opposite. So I feel that if people do not love there job and just show up... Find another this is to important to get this right. They need your help everyday! This could be you one day in somebody else's care. We all need to be good to one another all the time.
My sister and I are really happy to have found Spring Hills Home Care to help care for my mother during the week. All of the aids we've worked with have been very kind, caring and most importantly reliable. The office staff are really cooperative and responsive. The exercise physiology sessions have been great for helping build Mom's strength up, hopefully preventing another fall. I highly recommend Spring Hills.
You see the nice bells and whistles but when you pull the shades down you see that this is an unhappy place -- for the residents and many of the employees. The Executive Director and the Director of Nursing handled themselves very unprofessionally in their interactions in my sister's case. They ignored all of our requests for information and responses to our questions. Now, they are trying tobget an additional $5000 fromus, forctime my sister was no longer there. We plan to share our experiences with state and county as well as members of Congress. This place is expensive and the residents deserve better. I know its all about profit but peoples lives are at stake ai Sping Hills Assisted Living.
BEST SERVICE EVER. I came in to Spring Home Care and a gentleman there by the name of Omar assisted me and explained to me thoroughly how the service works and pushed me in the right direction to apply for my grandparents. All of his nurses are certified and he has certified them himself. This is a place you won't regret coming to. Thank you Mr. Omar and Thank you Spring Home Care!
Springhills Home Care Services is not a good place to work for. They have a high turn over rate and just last year 4 people resigned from the company due to the staff members and upper management. The caregivers have been through so much with staff leaving and changing frequently. The regional managers are best friends and don't care about their employees due to them constantly requiring the revenue to be brought up and not caring about the clients needs. You will be overworked, underpaid, unappreciated, and gain emotional distress being employed here. They are constantly worried about taking clients money without delivering what their mission statements says. Please reconsider about being employed here or allowing your loved one to receive Services from this company.
This is a horrible Community for anyone's parents or grandparents. These people are money hungry and only care about their money. I used to work for Spring Hills and I loved helping and caring for residences but the environment that they were placed in is disgusting. They have roaches. Management is dissatisfying to any problems or concerns you have, lazy, and greedy. They have horrible communication throughout the building. Definitely not worth the money you pay! I wouldn't trust Spring Hills with my loved one. EVER
Mother in law was resident of Spring Hills, and was in the memory care unit. They were always understaffed. There were usually two staff people to take care of approximately 20 residents. These residents obviously need a lot of care, because they are incontinent, need help with bathing, feeding, etc. Two staff members for ten residents was not enough! Often found Mom with soiled clothing, greasy hair which indicated she wasn't being bathed regularly. Also, the meals were often served late.We took her out of there. Not paying $50,000 per year for that kind of service!
I moved my mom to Spring Hills Mount Vernon a couple of months ago from another assisted living facility. She is doing MUCH better at spring hills and I'm quite pleased. I always thought assisted living facilities were all about the same. It's not true. At Spring Hills, ALL of the staff are caring, warm, and really show support for all the residents, not "just" my mom. Some of the nice perks that may seem small but have definitely been an improvement are: complimentary toilet paper and tissue and laundry service. The food is much better, more variety and the environment is more like a restaurant. My mom enjoys being served with cloth tablecloths and napkins. The servers are caring and help out all of the residents. I highly recommend Spring Hills Mount Vernon.
We moved our friend in to Spring Hills Mount Vernon in June 2014 and have been very happy. She is in Spring Cottage, the memory care unit, and they take wonderful care of her. There are always fun activities the residents participate in and there are also events in which both the assisted living and memory care people do together, which I feel is fantastic. All of the staff is very caring and loving and address any issues you have promptly. It is comforting to know she is taken care of so well.
My mother, who has dementia, has lived in the memory care unit for a year. I can't say enough good things about this facility. The staff is outstanding, very caring and friendly and that includes everyone. My mother is very happy there and I am there frequently. I have never encountered anything to make me question the care she is getting. I would wholeheartedly recommend this facility and my family and I are completely satisfied with every aspect of Spring Hills Mt Vernon.
I cannot say enough about the facility and the people that work there. The facility is clean, bright and has a feeling of being home. These were many of the characteristics that were on my list when doing research for a location for my mother to live. The staff is kind, courteous and very attentive to the residents needs. If me or any member of my family has a concern or question the staff is quick to respond.
