Absolutely no concerns. My 79 yo mother stayed here for two weeks following emergent hip replacement. Initially looking for a facility close to home in Rochester and was disgusted by the options (no joke, '70's era facilities with cramped living spaces, shared bath, and overall depressive feel). Shelby Crossing was recommended by the Henry Ford hospital staff on discharge and they were spot on. EVERYONE was very friendly and helpful from day one. Physical therapy is on-site and very proactive. This is a rehab facility so no long term patients. Dining menu was genuinely good. Plenty of food choices. The minute you walk in, you learn to appreciate the spacious clean hallways, large private rooms + private bath, and abundance of public spaces. Had absolutely no reservations about dropping off my mom here.  This is NOT staffed like a hospital so don't expect immediate assistance. That is the norm for these facilities and at no time did my mom feel unsafe. If you or a loved one need skilled nursing, go here. It was worth the 30 min drive from my home.

My dad came here for rehab after a stint at the hospital with COVID. He has many other psychiatric issues that was going to be challenging for this facility to manage. He is combative, dangerous to himself and to the nursing staff. I have never written a review for a rehab or nursing home, and I am familiar with some since both my parents have gone to various locations. This place is by far the BEST place for care. The staff treated my dad better than I would have. They were always apologetic when things didn't go well (which was not their fault). I was amazed by their sincere concern for his well being under (let me say) very difficult conditions that he presented them with. In the end, my dad had to be transferred to a psychiatric hospital for further care. I will never forget the calls that I received from the staff that showed a sincere compassion and desire to help someone that needed help; almost in disregard of their well being. My hats off to you! You guys are by far the best staff I have encountered so far. Thank you for all you have done! May God bless you all! Adrian

Had to put my father at Shelby Crossing after being released from hospital for rehab. Then moved him to assisted living wing to continue his PT and OT. The staff, care takers and therapist are the best in the business. Never once did I feel my father wasn’t being attended to or taken care of. If your loved one needs any of the services that Shelby Crossing offers, there is no need to look at any other facilities. Shelby Crossing is second to none!

I barely wanted to give a rating at all but since zero isn't an option I'll rate this facility a one star some of the care giver are decent enough to provide good care but as far as the supervisory staff they suck the rules and regulations are ridiculous and are a violation to the residents privacy the nurses at the facility are very lazy except maybe one or two and the executive director and the human services director in my opinion is very prejudice this facility is a gimmick wouldn't recommend it to anyone.....

My orthopedic surgeon insisted I stay here for rehab after knee replacement, and I did not want to leave! The staff is incredibly friendly and caring. They come to your aid almost instantaneously when buzzed to assist you and you are never treated like you are a bother, ever! Impeccably clean everywhere in facility. Physical therapists make sure you are receiving exactly what is needed and appropriate. I had PT for 2 hours every day, one in the morning and then again in the afternoon. Dining room is beautiful, as well as excellent food and service. If you have surgery such as hip, knee, or a family member needing rehabilitation from a hospital stay, please visit this facility. My two-and-a-half week stay was wonderful and I would stay there again in a heartbeat for rehab again!
