Do you guys currently have a waitlist?
Yes, although we do have availability on a few of our floor plans. We have 40 different floor plan options in Independent Living.
Could you share pricing and any other general information?
Royal Oaks is a Lifecare community. Meaning we have independent living, assisted living, memory care, and a care center. We do have an entrance fee along with a monthly service fee. Royal Oaks is a Non-Profit Community and once you become a resident of Royal Oaks, you are a resident for life (if you deplete your funds by no fault of your own).
We are located on a beautiful 50-acre campus in Sun City, AZ and have all the amenities of a small city, including an unbelievable fitness center, indoor lap pool, outdoor walking pool alongside a dining patio, boutique, beauty salon, library, and a myriad of dining options.
Could you provide an overview of the types of professionals on your staff and the training they undergo at your facility?
We have nurses, caregivers, a social worker, trained emergency medical technicians, electricians, landscapers, painters, professional chefs, wellness coaches, and more. Each have the appropriate training for their field of expertise along with on-going training. For example, we have staff in our memory care that have either completed or are in the process of completing advanced dementia training/certification. I, myself am a Certified Dementia Practitioner, skilled in working with dementia residents.
We also have contracted vendors on-site that can provide care to our residents if our residents so choose; Primary Care Physicians, a Dermatologist, Chiropractor, Podiatrist, Dental Clinic, and full therapy team that can provide occupational, physical, speech, and aqua therapy.
Could you tell me about the measures you have in place to ensure the safety and well-being of your residents?
Our residents are provided with a call pendant to wear that if activated will notify our EMT team. The resident can be anywhere on campus when they activate their pendant and we will get them help. Also, we have 2 RN’s and a social worker that watch over the well-being of our Independent residents. As their health changes, we can wrap services around the resident to help keep them safe. Our Wellness Coaches offer 7-Dimension of Wellness (Physical, Mental/Intellectual, Emotional, Social, Spiritual, Occupational/Volunteerism, Environmental) to keep our residents healthy, happy, and engaged.
Do you offer any resources or support services to aid residents' transition into the community?
We have moving and downsizing resources that we share with our prospects.
Do you offer transportation services for residents?
Yes
Could you tell me a little about your dining experience?
We have 5 dining venues, a coffee shop, and a marketplace. Independent residents receive one meal per day.
What is the process that takes place if a resident has a complaint or an issue they want addressed?
Depends on the issue – our President and CEO is on-site and always available for residents if going through other channels have not worked.
What is your policy on communication with resident's families? How do you keep them updated about their loved ones' well-being?
In assisted living, yes. Also yes in Independent living if the family member is the medical power of attorney and there is a medical issue.
Do you all offer short-term or respite stays? How much does this cost?
This is only available in our Care Center for a minimum 30-day stay, $8,600 per month.
Are you all a pet-friendly community?
We have pet-friendly Independent living accommodations.
Are residents able to get Covid vaccination and flu vaccinations in the community?
Yes
Are residents able to age in place?
Once residents need nursing assistance, they would need to move to the area on campus that is licensed to provide care. Yes, although we do have availability on a few of our floor plans. We have 40 different floor plan options in Independent Living.
