Community Insights
This detailed information was obtained directly from the New Home Consultant at Robson Ranch Texas via email on Feb. 28, 2024.
Introduction
I reached out to you after finding a soft inquiry about our community online. It seems from your questions that you might not have visited us before, and perhaps have some misconceptions about what our community is about. Some of your questions are indeed relevant, and to save time, I'll provide an overview that should clarify our purpose and lifestyle. A visit would certainly offer a clear perspective on what we do here.
About Robson Ranch
First of all, Robson Ranch is an active adult Resort community. We are a new home builder within this active adult resort community, selling new homes to individuals over 40 years old. It appears some of your questions about safety or training have led to a misunderstanding, suggesting you might think this is an assisted living environment, which it is not.
Transitioning to Robson Ranch
Transitioning into this community involves a couple or individual seeking a lifestyle change from their previous one, often after raising their children. They sell their homes in various locations, contract on a new home and lot here, choose their desired customizations, and we build it. We do not provide transportation for our residents, as the vast majority still drive, with many still working full time.
Amenities and Services
We have a full-service restaurant and bar on-site, "The Wild Horse Grill". For complaints or issues within the community, residents would contact the Homeowners Association. Any other complaints would not involve Robson Communities.
Cost of Living and Other Concerns
Regarding the cost of living, our new homes start at $427,900 and can go up to $1,000,000. Utilities such as water, sewer, gas, and electric are the responsibility of the homeowner. Communication with families and medical care are entirely under the residents' control, reflecting the active and independent nature of our community members. Many homeowners have pets, and there are no rules prohibiting them. Currently, there is no waitlist to purchase in the community, though our design center is experiencing a backlog of about 90 days.
Conclusion
Residents typically live here for a long time, enjoying their independence and active lifestyle. The concept of aging in place here might differ from what you initially thought. I hope this overview clarifies any misunderstandings and provides a better picture of Robson Ranch as an active adult resort community.
