Did not receive my meds as prescribed by my doctor.had to endure hours of pain. Food questionable. Majority of employees great. Would never come here again. Building old windows leak cool air.trim cracking. The cost is way too high as the quality is not reflected in it.
I was very upset that I couldn't go see my husband even wearing a mask just because I was not vaccinated. My husband was not vaccinated vaccinated either. And that's not the half of it. We still are not vaccinated and have no plans to get vaccinated. It was very hot in my husband's room as well. Also some yahoo patient took a shower when it was my husband's scheduled time. He hadn't had a shower for several days and then this idiot's behavior made it so that he had to wait another day.
We had to have our mom at a rehab facility after surgery back in April for a few months. Since the rehabs closer to us where full, this Avamere was recommended and we couldn't be happier with the care that was provided to her during her stay. Crystal Gage ,the director of social services, was an amazing person who kept us informed about everything our mother needed and was going through during the difficult time with pandemic. She made it easier for our family with all the help she provided. In addition, Andrea one of the physical therapists, worked tirelessly to help our mom regain some of her mobility back. Even though we never got to go inside because of covid, we could tell that everyone who works at the facility really cares for the patients and they go above and beyond to help them and their families.
I have known about this facility for many years, unfortunatly we had to put a family member in here earlier this year for about a month after a fall and a pretty bad bone break. I must say everyone that i spoke with about my dads condition was pleasant, although due to the coronavirus I was never able to go inside. only go to the window and wave or talk on the phone. i really don't think its a bad place to go to if you need therapy or have suffered an injury and cannot go straight from home after being in the hospital. I really think the nurses and the physical therapists care. Why am I giving only 4 stars and not 5? I really think they should have more help at nightime. BUT i hear that's the case at most Nursing homes.
If we could give 0 stars I would. Nursing staff doesn’t care about the patient. Nurses don’t talk to each other after shift changes regarding patient status so no one knows anything. We have called and no one answers. Admin there is awful. If you care about your family member, don’t send them here!
One of the best restaurants in Gladstone! I ordered spaghetti and it was perfectly luke warm with a little chill in the middle. The clientele seemed to be a little older, but excellent over the top service. I coughed and immediately there were 4+ servers by my side. Strange, yet pleasant experience all together.
Strangest youth hostel I’ve ever stayed at. Good staff, decent coffee, weird roommates. After 4 nights, I got to experience the fun bingo nights with other guests who were very kind (if older) showed me some local restaurants, and we bonded over pudding and jell-o from the cafeteria. Not the best party scene since people wake up really early, but good vibes all around.
I am disgusted by the failure to care for my friend Robert Sergent who had a wound that was festering for SIX WEEKS. All they did was put a pain patch on a pus filled wound. They also failed to get him to BOTH Dr. appointments to deal with the original problem which was the stitches were never taken out post op. Then when we got him out of there after 10 weeks Crystal did not call in to arrange for his aftercare PT & OT & Nursing wound care. Bob's family live out of state. He would be dead if he didn't have friends. The level of unprofessional care is scary! I have contacted DHS & an atty.p.s. disregard the prior review from Robert Sergent!!!!!!! It should be deleted!!!
I would recommend Avamere to everyone! The entire staff was so very helpful to me while I was helping my friend Robert Sergent deal with life after his hip was broken when he was hit by a jeep walking across Arlington. Over a period of just under 10 weeks the nurses & aides & therapists were available to answer my questions & assure my friend the best care. Ryan always offered me something to drink & helped us deal with Bob's cell phone issues, which were many. Crystal has always willing to help us with social services. I was even included in a few of the activity director's fun time. The RN's were always interested in my input & answered my concerns. TY Judy
My Grandma was recently staying at Avamere (Gladstone), she couldn’t have said nicer things about anyone! Everyone was so sweet w/ her & likewise, with all of her family who visited daily & nightly. We just loved everyone & sincerely appreciate how kind & patient & on top of it like they were.I visited my Grandma at night bc I liked to tuck her in- so Sam & Clarissa (I believe is her name she had piercings & a cute haircut) were the nurses I got best acquainted with. I don’t know how many times I have stopped & waited outside, considering going in and visiting them again, but chicken out bc I don’t want to cry or be that kind of burden, but during my Grandma’s stay there- I don’t know what I would have done without them. They are truly amazing & I can’t say enough about them.Thank u, sincerely for everything. My Grandma told me many times that she was “treated like royalty”! That means the world to me & my family bc my Grandma meant the world to us.
