I read the reviews and heard from a bunch of people that this place is bad and they dont recommend. heard about falls people not getting fed and people stuff getting stolen by staff.. phones getting taken away and call buttons. how is somebody suppose to get help if they can call anybody. even heard about some people dieing there and they got covered up.
I have Multiple Sclerosis and this has caused balance issues for me. Due to this, I have broken several bones that all required orthopedic surgeries that required in-patient rehab. I have been an in-patient client in most of the Roanoke area physical health centers and prefer going to Raleigh Court Health Center above this areas other in-patient facilities.I have found that this facility has the best therapist, nurses and support staff available. I have now successfully recovered at Raleigh Court three times. Without their help and assistance, I doubt that I would be as mobile as I currently am. Thanks to the wonderful patient and hard work from everyone associated with Raleigh Court. I have and would recommend this facility to anyone needing rehab.
Don't return phone calls (neither the Administrator or billing staff returned calls after 2 days!!) don't fully follow discharging Dr.'s instructions, on a recent day 'blew-off' any real rehab, due to 'not having anyone available to help' get patient out of bed! Our diabetic patient with blood sugars in excess of 400 was fed a dinner meal with +50g sugar..................... Would love to know who paid the prior reviewers......Seriously lamenting the decision to send my loved one here!
My wife was here for rehab for about a month. The staff from nurses to aides to maintenance and OT/PT were terrific. There were few minimal concerns or issues and when raised were immediately resolved. The care was geninue and helpful to ensure teh best possible improvement and rehab/recovery could occur. And the food was surprisingly good. Thanks for helping us through this situation and getting us on the road to home again.
I've had a lot of experience with this facility and never been disappointed. I've had 3 very special family members stay here and now I am on my fourth. It must say something that I keep coming back for over 20 years. The staff is phenomenal, the therapy groups are top notch, and the administration goes out of their way to ensure you have a positive experience. No facility is perfect so you have to mention a problem when you see one, and there will be a few, but they are quick to act to correct any issues with your loved one. Thank you RC for loving my family as much as I do.
Beautiful facility with very caring and compassionate staff. The building is so clean and comfortable. You are greeted with a smile and assisted promptly every time you go to visit, The newly renovated rooms are so nice and the facility has no odors. Their Star rating by Medicare is impressive which speaks volumes about the teAm work there. It is an excellent choice for Rehab and they work hard to get you home. I would take my loved ones there without hesitation.
I have known and heard about Raleigh Court Health & Rehab for many years and have always been impressed with its positive reputation. Recently, I was very closely involved with a loved one who received his rehab there. Consistent with what I had heard, the experience there was amazing in every way. I was so pleased with the way all of the staff greeted me as I came and went with their friendliness and their caring spirit. The plan of care was established and the work in PT and OT was such that he was able to be discharged ahead of schedule. We are so thankful for the excellent care and sense of team we experienced.
I have been the activities director at Raleigh Court Health and Rehab for 2 months now. It has been nothing but a great, uplifting, and inspiring experience! The administration is so encouraging, the therepists are top notch, and the nursing staff is some of the best I have seen! The employees here truly care about the residents and patients they serve! I look forward to growing my skills and knowledge alongside this amazing healthcare team!
We transfered my mother-in-law to Raleigh Court Rehab after the inexcusable care she received at another local facility! The difference is profound. She has since shown remarkable progress--all of which I credit to the hard work and dedication of their staff, in particular their physical and occupational therapists. They are excellent examples of how health care SHOULD be--*knowledgeable,* thorough, and KIND. A special thanks to Stephanie and Amy, ALL her caretakers, and Mark their director. We have many more months ahead of us on this journey but we are grateful for such thoughtful support.
The facilities are excellent and the management is very helpful and professional. The staff makes the difference, my mother could not get over how nice everyone was during her 3 month stay. Thankfully she was able to come home and continue to improve. She still talks about the folks at Raleigh Court that cared for her and got her back on her feet. We are all very appreciative.
Mother had a stroke and was sent here . She states that they didn't have bandaids when they checked her blood sugar. She also said patients can have all the sweets they want at any time . Not enough nurses on duty at night . One of the employees said they have 1-2 employees on duty during the evening and they have over 60Patients at a time . Lunch takes forever to get they eat around 1. Occupational therapist is constantly late for her appointments with patients and gets upset if patient isn't ready . Physical therapy employees were nice . Walking in to facility front staff was never very welcoming . Patient lights will not be answered immediately sometimes it can take up to more than an hour
Not impressed so far can't reach patient by phone it's near impossible they have one cordless phone apparently that gets left in patient rooms most of whom seem to be a bit senile and have no idea what you're talking about Jesus Christ!Guess I'll have to go by a cheap cell phone for use while the patient is housed at this facilityOne week in and I'm wondering who paid the other reviewer! My mother's physical therapist told her she would have to do some PT from bed (!) because she couldn't find anyone to help get her out of bed Wasting her very limited insurance coverage when we were led to believe this facility would focus on rehabilitation. Instead she's largely being fed and put on a bed panShameful lack of regard for her needs and limited insurance coverage for nursing home care - but maybe that's the problem? Insurance not paying them enough?
I went to visit my 99 year old aunt today. She appears to be so much better after being in the facility for 30 days. She has a good appetite and was very bright and lucid, an improvement of her mental condition after coming to the facility. Thanks so much to the caretakers at Raleigh Court!
