I don’t feel this facility is the best choice for your loved one. The staff doesn’t communicate with patients family especially during this time (pandemic). During the time our loved one was there there were no updates on the recovery, no information on what type of therapy was being done or the progression of your family members health. When we spoke to our loved one it was stated that he hadn’t had much done. The staff only reaches out when the state of health is critical. Our family member was transported to different locations we weren’t contacted or given any information to where he went until multiple days went by giving us no way to speak to the necessary people about his condition. Our family member was in a facility until they were unable to speak and make nurses aware of any problems. We weren’t able to contact them due to that to even know what was happening with him. This would be the worst place to allow you loved one to be in their final days or any days of that matter. When I went to visit I it wasn’t a good feeling that speaks volumes.
My mother was there for 2 weeks in rehab. The first 2 days was rough, but by the time she was released she did not want to leave. The staff was SUPER friendly an did all they could to make sure she had what she needed. I would definatly recommend this place to my own family or anyone else. Mom loved the staff !! Not the prettiest bldg, but give it a chance... We did. An it was GREAT 4 my mother.
It a place where so many elderly can stay. Visited a dear family friend today at the nursing home. I was appalled. I found a him on the floor, the bed was lowered and a mat was on the floor near the bed. Our friend had recently fallen, had a hip repair. The food was awful looking. There was many things that needed repairing at the center. But what really got me. Remember I said we found our friend on the floor, we called his daughter and told her...later she went up to the center and confronted them. They denied it...i.am furious. It makes u really question care when they are going to flat out lied. He was not identified anywhere as a fall risk not on his door or arm. It was so heart breaking seeing many patients there as a waiting camp for there time to come in death. ( 2/2/19) Update on the patient, he was moved during the night to the local hospital treated for severe dehydration. Being a nurse myself. I am sick when I think of what happened last night. I understand that people need jobs, but take it seriously. Be dependenable, be empathic and have some integrity. Families rely on places like this to help treat, and heal their loved ones. Not to ignore them or make them harm themselves. I would never recommend this place. The employees did present themselves as nice when we were there. As for the family of this man. I would be willing to go to court over this situation. Don't be fooled the picture ad, it looks like a hotel room, the place is very old and needs updating, but I guess in the since of eyes old cabinets, doors, furniture never killed nobody. The floors where shiny.
This place is awful if u r looking for rehab. My husband was there for 4 days. They did nothing for him but let him lay there and feed him. Didn't put wound vac on him as instructed. Ended up back at hospital and ended up staying there for a whole month. Even attorneys told me they were the worst. They have pending lawsuits against Pruitt healthcare systems.
I have been a Nurse for many years. (40 +) This is a very good Facility to take your love one. They took care of my Sister, despite her having been a very difficult person due to some mental health issues, mutiple health issues, in addition, to her having been a hillariously funny drama (Queen). !!! It is a very clean place with a very good staff. My first impression is my last impression of this facility. God bless all of them.
