My husband has been there for a couple of months for long term care and they have been fabulous. Staff are so friendly and very helpful. Answered all my questions. The place is really clean. My husband likes it and he loves the staff. They are very patience with him he said. So far I’m very satisfied with this facility.
Pine Point Center has been my father-in-law's home away from home for two years. The staff has always been caring and attentive --not to mention incredibly communicative during what has been an extremely challenging year managing though COVID. They have gone above and beyond to ensure families are kept up to date on what's happening within the center, to reach out to share how specific loved ones are faring, and that residents are continually engaged in healthy activities to maintain good spirits. Caring for the aging and infirmed community is difficult as it is --but to then add on the additional strain of a pandemic that has been particularly harsh to the older population has undoubtedly been tiresome; but, you would never know it by talking to the staff. Their continued support and genuine care for the residents is evident and so very much appreciated.
My husband was recently a patient there for almost 2 weeks. Care was average. Biggest issue was Jamie, one of the RNs. On the day that was husband was admitted. I asked Jamie, what room he was in and if I could visit. She pointed to a group of chairs and told me to sit there as the doctor was in with my husband. Forty minutes later, I asked another nurse, if I could visit my husband. The response- " of course, PT is with him now, but you may certainly visit" and kindly brought me to the room. The doctor did not evaluate my husband for another 2 hours. The next day, I came to visit with our dog. Jamie insisted that I produce the rabies certification for the dog. When I explained that I did not have it, however my dog was licensed and the town required proof of rabies vaccination and the dog had her tags on. Jamie became very confrontational and stated ,"I do not know you from Adam and people are trying to sneak dogs that are not vaccinated in her all the time". When I offered to go home and get the papers- her response was "NO". I have been a RN for 40 years and I have never spoken to a patient or a patient's family in that manner, which was highly unprofessional. My husband developed explosive diarrhea and abdominal cramping on Tuesday, when he left on Thursday, the toilet had not been clean. Many of the RNs are travel nurses and are very nice. Not sure if this is the normal staffing pattern for this facility or due to difficulty retaining local RNs/LPNs,. CNAs/PCTs were caring. My husband did have issues with pain control and it seemed to take a long time for medication to be dispensed.
