Please do your homework before placing your loved one at this facility. Please ask questions, turnover rate of staff, how many agency caregivers are working, caregiver to patient ratio. Look at the turnover rate of the people running the place. Are nurses passing meds or Med Techs, are the people providing the care CNA or caregivers, will you be notified of any changes in your loved ones condition, what exactly do you do you mean by "assisted living". What does that include? What is the average time to answer a call bell..but please do not be fooled what they do is send somebody in to quickly turn off the light and will tell your loved one, " I will tell the nurse." Help is usually at least 30 minutes away or more. Due to Covid the meals were in the room brought up in a cardboard box and 99% of the time my moms food was placed out of reach. Never opened or set up for her to eat. Not to mention the food is cold and the tiny plastic utensils that are handed out are the size for a preschooler to use and very flimsy. Many of the meals I would have a hard time eating due to the size of the bun or meat itself let alone an 85 year old woman with missing teeth. Often times the meals were just left all day without being picked up. My moms pills were left on the bedside stand more than once and I even found medicine on the floor that I am certain was charted as given. My moms pull up many times was soaking wet with urine, she did develop skin breakdown, that I had to mention to the staff to get ointment to put on. They never even saw it. Using a wipe after changing her was never even a thought, something else I had to tell the staff to do. Many meetings with the people running the place did nothing. They sat there and listened and all these false promises that never happened. My moms personal property was used for other residents, they would just come in and " borrow as needed," even during Covid. I caught the staff playing on her computer while she was asleep. Items went missing more than once. My mom like so many older people was afraid to say anything to me because of the fear of the ramifications. The second and third floor reek of urine. During many visits to my mom I would be there for hours without a single soul checking in on her. We ended up hiring help to sit with her on top of paying that astronomical prices of that place. I ended up calling the state and other places to look into this facility. I could write a book of horrors and just might. I just am trying to help others not to be fooled. I believe that place could sell snow to an Eskimo. Please do not hesitate to reach out to me, 412-742-8015. I will be more than happy to provide proof to anybody that is looking at the Paramount at BP. We had cameras installed so my complaints and concerns are 100% documented. If I could save just one elderly person from what we went through I would feel happy. I would not put a dog at this place.
We moved my father to Paramount Bethel Park in March of this year. It was a confusing and difficult time for everyone, but Tonya, the Admissions Director assisted us through it all. She was compassionate, involved, and knowledgeable about all aspects of what we needed. Her help in getting my dad in a beautiful room was exactly what we needed but didn't know how to go about securing. While the transition is never easy Tonya and the staff ay Paramount Bethel Park have made him (and us) feel welcome and cared for. We would, without hesitation, recommend Paramount Bethel Park to those looking for a safe, caring and beautiful place to live.
Workers treated unfairly, when the so called CEO Rocco Palladini doesn't like someone he targets them. They lie when state comes in. They charge you PTO plus make you work from home when your sick. If it wasnt for a handful of the staff there I wouldn't put my loved ones there. If you can pick another facility do so.
I had the opportunity to visit here for business purposes and the facility is beautiful, I did see a few of the residents that reside there and they looked very well cared for. The facility is very clean, the apartments are stunning. It was a very warm and inviting experience. I would highly recommend this facility for a loved one or someone looking for an alternative living environment. In addition, I had a few moments to observe and speak to a resident their prior to conducting my business and she seemed very content. I did see one of the dining facilities and it looked like a home like dining experience, I heard residents talking and laughing which brought my heart great joy.
A great place to work, there is structure, great bosses and really help you to improve yourself and they support you. They really appreciate what you do for the company. After south park mt vernon closing which I miss my team it was hard to find another place that would appreciate and support you. It took 5 months but I finally was blessed with Paramount now happy and love my job again. I plan on staying and retiring here. There are alot of positive changes to improve staff and always improving and teaching ways how to take care of our residents. I feel very blessed by god for this opportunity. You looking for a job this a great place to start.
Paramount Bethel Park has been a great place for my father. When we started to inquire at a number of assisted living places, we found Paramount Bethel Park to be the best. Tonya, the Admissions Director, helped us greatly in this most confusing and difficult process. Since my father moved into Paramount, he has been cared for, loved and respected each and every day. For that and for their attention to detail for all of us we will be forever grateful. I would recommend Paramount Bethel Park without hesitation.
