Absolutely horrible. My family member sometimes had to wait well over an hour before someone would come check on him when he rang for help. They blamed him when he told them he wasn’t receiving the services he needed, such as a shower. Told him it was his job to ask for that. When his PT ended they took away his walker, leaving him no way to get around. Would sometimes not bring all of his pills and get nasty with him when he pointed it out. Staff would not answer the phone and take days to return phone calls. Food was so awful that sometimes it could not be eaten. This facility should be shut down.
Feel free to call me. My number is in my profile. This is not a good facility. PT is good. That's about it. Their record keeping is not accurate and does not accurately reflect a patients progress. That causes insurance to force releases too. They have accurate PT notes but don't release them for appeals.
Worst service ever. They call themselves a Nursing and Rehab Center. What a joke. Nobody answers the phone. Each time I call, the phone would just ring and ring and ring. My father is there by recommendation from Advent Health Fish Memorial Hospital. Before my Dad left the hospital, he sounded very strong and energetic. He sounded hopeful and happy.Since he has been at this Rehab Center, his health is slowly declining. He sounds weak and digressing. It worries me that my Father will die there due to their neglect. I have to find a way to get him out of there fast so that he has a chance to survive.DO NOT SEND YOUR LOVE ONES THERE if you want to see them get well and healthy.
I'm so appalled that such places are still in business!I trusted my dementia stricken mom to that facility for a year. They're grossly negligent and abusive. Whenever you ask for answers regarding abuse, the answer is always: "it's being investigated" but you never hear results! The first 5-6 months weren't so bad until management changed as usual; A "donothing" manager, named Melissa took over, the same woman I was running away from when I moved my mom from another dreadful facility in Orlando! Please avoid trusting your helpless family members care to such places! If you must, do your research, don't abandon your relative to those torture chambers!Reporting abuse suspicion to the Elders Affair Department is totally useless! The send a kakaminy agent who seem to protect the facility not the residents!
I would give this place zero stars! They kicked my mother out of this place yes that's what I said while we were talking to the ppl in the office about how she needed more time which she was only in for a week & not improving due to them not even working on my mother to walk which we didn't know at the time. They were getting her ready & all of her things & wheeled her to the front door to leave. This place might look good inside but be aware of the workers & office staff not good at all! I wouldn't even put my dogs here!!! I found out after my mom got kicked out that so many ppl told me that they used to work there & they left that place because of how bad it was. It's so sad that they can do this to older ppl & get away with it. I'm a true believer in what goes around comes right back to u & i hope it does ten fold.
Working here in the nursing department was absolutely ridiculous. It’s no wonder some of the residents didn’t get care. They are always understaffed because the current DON is cruel and drives away all her good staff. I’m sorry for every current resident and employee there, I know both parties are miserable.
This skilled nursing facility kicked out my MIL after just 6 days. She was making progress like she was supposed to, and filed an appeal to try to stay. She was inconvenient and could not change her own undergarments and they literally threw her out. Even Kepro found that she should not have been discharged. She was treated worse than an animal!
Orange City Nursing and Rehabilitation is a wonderful, caring facility. They take great care of our residents by providing top notch nursing care, great food and a skilled, knowledgeable therapy department. Our residents thrive, get stronger and come home. We appreciate the staff and their dedication. American House Orange City loves their residents and appreciates you taking such great care of them. Thank you!
The staff at Orange City Nursing & Rehab Center was very nice. They took care of my father very well .They treated him with respect and if you had any concerns they would address it right away. If you need a place to take your loved one for a short time or long stay Orange City Nursing is the place to take them. They treat every one with respect.
Orange City Nursing and Rehab Center is a very clean and welcoming facility. All staff is very accommodating and friendly. If I had a family member in need of rehab or long term care this facility will be my number one pick! Great job to all staff on taking pride in your care and cleanliness.
