I would have thought better of this company. The HR laddie didn’t hire me at a different place she worked at because of my size. When I came in for my interview it went well. Then the same laddie who told me I couldn’t work at the Jewish home because of my size came in. She took over the interview and walked me out. Saying she didn’t take my App the last time because she knew me. I’m working with the eeoc now . She won’t do other people like this. Shouldn’t have people working that’s have problems with bigger people. I would never thought this place was like this
I am pleased to share a little about our family's positive experience with Newcastle Place. Newcastle Place and the entire staff made such a positive impact on our mom's life after our dad passed. The sense of community, all the activities (particularly the pool), the great care, the great food (believe it or not!) all combined to be such a positive thing for our mom as she began to adjust and then even thrive as the months and years went by. The facilities are great and the people even better. We had such a feeling of relief knowing our mom was in such a great, safe caring place.
My mom spent 11 years at Newcastle and it was the perfect place for her to find new friends, hang out with old friends, and live in a place that made her happy and social. Thank you Newcastle for loving my mom and taking such good care of her, always. It was a highlight for her to live there among such nice friends and staff,.
If you are searching for a Senior Living Community in the North Shore-Newcastle Place is the place to be. Incredible staff along with all the amenities you would be searching for. Also access to exceptional care if needed. You will not find a better Senior Living Community.
In 2003 my wife and I were living at Ville du Park when they started to gain approval from the City of Mequon to build Newcastle Place. So, we were lucky enough to be able to watch the beginnings of Newcastle Place. My wife had health problems and we knew the outcome would not be good and that we would need a place to live very shortly. When Newcastle Place was ready to be occupied, we moved in and lived together in our apartment for a few years and then my wife had to go to Skilled Nursing at the Highlands at Newcastle Place. There she was treated extremely well and competently by staff while at the same time, I was able to be with her for many hours. After her passing in 2007 I was in a place which I found to have so many caring individuals both from very kind staff and very caring neighbors. Since the time my wife passed, which has now been 14 years, I have found my family at Newcastle in a very loving, caring atmosphere. When I had lost my first wife I was living alone in my home, it was unbearable. So, when we found Newcastle Place it was like the difference between night and day. I had found a true family.I have developed close and wonderful friendships and enjoyed many, many hours participating in fun and healthy activities. For the last 17 years, I have had the pleasure of enjoying wonderful meals in a very comfortable dining room and in all that time never had one bad meal. The food is always healthy and delicious.I have been exposed to every part of Newcastle place from the very beginnings, what they provide, how they provide it… and I have not had even one serious complaint during all my years here.I would say that for anyone that is looking for a home in their later years, come to Newcastle Place! You’ll never be sorry!
My family is amazed by the wonderful staff at Newcastle! Welcoming, thoughtful, genuine, creative, understanding, and having a great sense of humor are characteristics that seem to apply to every staff member we meet. Thank you Newcastle staff for making my parent's transition from their beloved home of 45 years to their next great adventure so smooth!
We moved my Mother to Newcastle Palace independent living just before the covid crisis. It was the best move that we could have made. It's reassuring to know that she is in a place where they take the safety of the residents very seriously. They have gone above and beyond to make sure that the residents remain safe. It may not be ideal with shared dining not in place during outbreaks, but knowing that all the people working there are taking all safety precautions seriously. My Mother has a staff to help with internet/ cell phone questions, a beauty shop that has safety precautions on site, and a phenomenal dining service delivered to her door. The cleaning staff knows the safety protocols and we don't have to worry about the people that are in the facility taking care of her. She was even able to get her vaccine without having to leave the facility. I know that she is taken care of as a member of the Newcastle family and know that they are going out of their way to protect her and all that live there. The apartment is great and we are looking forward to activities getting more regular to keep her happy and busy.
I moved to Newcastle Place almost three years ago and have been and continue to be very pleased with my choice Our beautifully maintained buildings and grounds, have exceeded my expectations. Our conscientious staff is very helpful. In addition, the staff has provided, and continuously tries to develop fun and challenging activities, while maintaining compliance with Covid guidelines. During “normal times” access to scheduled social gatherings provide opportunities to meet and mingle with other “fun”, interesting residents thru activities such as concerts, road trips, cocktail parties and the beautiful atmosphere in our dining rooms. . Although these gatherings are presently limited due to the pandemic, I look forward to the future when these can be safely resumed. Most importantly, during these difficult times, we feel safe, cared for and not alone, but have a sense of belonging and comradery. We will get thru this and for me it will be easier and more pleasant than my life would have been without Newcastle Place.
When we moved here 4 1/2 years ago from our home in Mequon, our goal was to downsize, remain near our many Mequon friends, and be near the front of the queue should we need assisted living. We had not adverted to a potential need for first responders. They have been nothing but life saving ! My wife, suffering from lymphoma-induced weakness, fell and needed more help than I could render on 3 occasions. Your team was there within less than 3 minutes to help her up, and, on one occasion, summon an ambulance. When I suffered a life threatening intestinal infarction In the middle of the night, your emt’s showed up while my thumb was still on the call button. They not only stabilized me, relieved my pain and got me to the hospital (where I spent 4 days in the icu) but returned to my carriage home and cleaned up the indescribable mess I had left behind!
We have had very excellent experiences with the staff and residents. Everyone has been friendly and welcoming. The many activities are well organized and enjoyable. The meal selections are delicious with a wide variety of entrees. We are beyond satisfied and happy with our decision to move to Newcastle.
