Unprofessional staff. They drug overdose my brother and nearly killed him. They don't bath patients everyday. My mother and I needed to go everyday to make sure my brother was cleaned, bathed, feed, and given the correct medication. I do not recommend this place to anyone. It's dangerous.

My grandmother stayed here and I must say I really felt like they were very patient centered. The staff was very friendly and took care of all her needs. When I had questions about her care, they made sure to update me on her health status and kept me involved in her care. Highly recommend!

I actually had an interview here and was quite impressed with New Vista Post Acute.  Upon arriving, I was created by two staff members , both smiling and helpful. The facility was busy, clean and looked like it had been remodeled recently. Rizaldo. The upper management who I met was delightful and I can see how his enthusiasm for life translates into a culture of caring at the facility.Recently, I met Corey Diebold, the current facility Administrator. My introduction was warm, welcoming and I really felt like he bent over backwards to impress me. I can't say enough great things about the leaders of New Vista.

This facility is a very organized and professional skilled nursing environment. The medical team and the nurses do their out most to deliver great care and customer service for their patients. Highly recommended.  Thanks for all you do for the community and for taking care of my loved one.

I came in this week from the East Coast to see me aunt and wanted to leave a review on the facility she's currently at. She is there for short term therapy and our family couldn't be happier.Dana invited me to join my aunt and other residents in bingo and we accepted. He's so funny and the residents really seemed to enjoy being in the activities room. The building looks newly updated and definitely is what you'd expect in the Brentwood area in LA. The hallways were clean and the janitors were visibly cleaning the entire time I was there (I can't stand dirty hospitals) so I was watching. The nurses were very nice and all introduced themselves to me with a smile when walking by us or upon entering my aunts room. Keep up the good work New Vista!

First there are not enough sub acute facilities available for those in need. My father has been at New Vista Post Acute for over a year and our family has decided to take him home. Not because of the care he has received, because the staff we have built a relationship are caring and professional. I've heard first hand from families of loved ones here talk about other facilities they had their loved ones that were horrible including constant bouts of pneumonia and infection my father has been pneumonia free. We worked as a team and I told them straight off our family is pro-active in my father's recovery. I would go for yourself and check out any facility you choose talk to the patients if you can and the loved ones that visit them they can tell you if they like the care.My father started on a ventilator 24 hours a days now he is ventilator free 18 hours.Patience, perseverance, communication, quality of care are all important when you place your loved one in a facility. There is no five stars for any Sub Acute Facility unless you are rich and have one on one care. There are none. Even with the staff ratio being met there is never enough to give that kind of care so for the staff I give four stars for doing an extremely professional job at caring for my dad. I love each of you and will miss you. He came out of ICU with a bed wound that was horrific, today it is almost completely healed.

Horrible! Like others have reviewed... If you love your family member please do not leave them here! My father in law was brought here for his physical therapy after being released from UCLA Ronald Regan hospital for having multiple strokes. He was there for a total of 3 days in which several unpleasant incidents happened, to elaborate 3 times he fell in his room trying to get someone to help him use the bathroom... as he laid on the floor for hours cold and alone, the call button might as well not even exist because no one came. I can't be sure if they were following the doctors orders as far as his medication but in the 3 days that he was supposed to be recovering and working with a physical therapist, his condition diminished to almost completely no responsive. The people who work here are not professionals and don't seem to have a caring bone in there body. We called 911 to get an ambulance to take him to the hospital and the people at the front desk turned them away.. heartless ... It is part of their policy to call an ambulance if signs of a stroke are present, instead a very nice emt showed up and almost didn't take him because it was very easy to see by the droop in the left side of his face and lack of mobility he had another stroke... something about being against the rules to take him, but they figured it out and we were on the way back to the hospital. All of this on top of being old dirty and smelly the further you walk down the hall.. JUST SHUT THIS PLACE DOWN PLEASE!

If you love someone, DON'T come to this place! This might be one of the worst post operative acute care facility I have ever experienced. Gracie the social worker is unreachable and quite frankly an embarrassment to my profession. She is young, anxious and clueless. As another review said, they are mainly medical techs opposed to real nurses which is so true. When I ask questions, they look at me like the walking dead. It's like the DMV employees are now working here! They either talk to patients in a demeaning way like they're 5 years old, or they do not speak English at all and don't even try too. Food looks like something my dog spit up. Zane, a PT is the only thing good about this place. I wish I could say this review was an exaggeration, but frankly, it is completely true not to mention I feel I failed in explaining how awful this place really is. As for HIPAA, apparently this facility is exempt from following the law.

DO NOT let anyone you care about stay at this place for any length of time.  The care is awful.  Although this is supposed to be a skilled nursing facility, 99% of the staff are not nurses, they are CNA's at best.  NOT ONE of their staff speaks English as their first language.  Food is terrible as you might expect.  They ignore when you buzz the nurse so you can be stuck needing help to use the restroom for over an hour.  Social worker Gracie is USELESS.  She doesn't even have voicemail or a way to leave her a message.

Was a patient here for over 1 mo post surgery.,  Place reeks of urine & feces  in some areas, enough to gag you.  The Admin staff smile in your face, pretending to be caring in front of family; but if your family is unable to visit frequently they treat the patient with indifference.  The food is AWFUL watered down salty canned soup & cream of wheat (soupy) .  No chance of getting anything fresh, organic & healthy!  Press the call button & it could be 30-1hr before getting response, or they turn off light immediately say they will tell nurse but you will sometimes wait several hours. When nurse does show they claim " no one told me"  "I was on break" or I"I was w another patient" Apparently no one else can/will help patient if they're not assigned to them!!! Perhaps Melynda S's sister was near front or she didn't walk around facility because this place stinks & has poor cleanliness. The bathrooms are shared and only cleaned in the morning. They have seat covers up front but not in patient rooms, nor do they provide sanitizing wipes for use between patients.  Once a week they take seat outside to hose down but there has been a hair stuck to tape on the handicap seat & they STILL haven't  cleaned it !!!Only half thing positive about it is the PT & OT staff, and an administrator Mr D, he goes above & beyond for patients. Facility Admin Mgr Ms C & social workers are USELESS

My sister who underwent quadruple heart bypass surgery was here for a month or more.  The staff was very friendly, attentive and caring.  The place is clean with no odors, which is a pet peeve of mine.  I loathe going into nursing homes with odors!Due to my sister needs, she's requiring additional post acute care, and I'm hoping they have room for her. New Vista is the place to be for post acute care.

The receptionist, Claudia, is very nice and helpful. She was able to assist me in answering my questions and going above and beyond to get my phone call answered by the nurses. I’m giving a two star review because the nurses are always hard to get ahold of. If it wasn’t for Claudia, I would be giving this place one star.

Very unhappy with the performance of New Vista. How do you let one of your clients family member sit on the phone for 25 minutes and nobody answers it at all in the building. And there is no reason why I need to call back 3 or 4 times then get connected to somebody. Very unprofessional!

I have an update, this facility as a whole still has quite a bit of things to work as im sure all do, but i spoke the administrator after a series of major concerns regarding my relatives care, he listened, and even helped to provide a solution, which i will be following up to see how that is going but just his availability, and urgency to provide a solution, I wish that everyone carried themselves in the same manner. I appreciate the concern he showed for my relative and the push to make my the stay better. I still plan to move him but with the administrators support that he provided, it made me feel better about my relative being there in the meantime.

As a private caregiver. Im side by side with someone who is here. And the place is ok. The reason why its a 1 star is because when we first got here they had a meeting with my patient promising her things which they never followed through with. During any meal time all the caregivers are too buissy to attend the patients in bed. They turn off the alert buttons and tell us we kneed to wait until they are done with meals. Paperwork i turned in got lost somehow so now almost 2 months later they are telling me they cant find them. Its small things that matter that give a rating to places like this. This place is a 1 1/2.
