Could you share pricing and any other general information?
I have attached both our Independent and Assisted Living Rate cards to review. These are also available on our website.
Could you provide an overview of the types of professionals on your staff and the training they undergo at your facility?
We offer 24/7 staffing with PCA/CNA/CMA. We also have RN’s that have regular business hours M-F 8a-5p and are on call after hours and on the weekends. We complete all state required training, have a level of expertise in Alzheimer’s/dementia training that is continuous throughout employment, we offer lead programs as well. We have a lot of longevity in employees and leadership at Edgewood Village.
Could you tell me about the measures you have in place to ensure the safety and well-being of your residents?
Each resident receives an emergency pendant when they move in. We also can schedule safety checks based on individual needs. We offer a full Life Enrichment Schedule, continuous Nurse Evaluations, and a Family & Resident Relations Director is available to all residents and their families.
Do you offer any resources or support services to aid residents' transition into the community?
Our life enrichment Director is also the Edgewood Senior Specialist who strives to learn and understand new residents and help integrate them into the community based on the information obtained. I also have resources as far as Moving Companies, other entities in the community who offer home health services, and social service office for Medicaid applicants.
Do you offer transportation services for residents?
Yes, on Monday, Wednesday, Friday each week we offer Medical Transportation, and on Tuesdays and Thursdays we offer transportation for our scheduled outings (example: shopping days/bank days/summer- band shell/field trips).
Could you tell me a little about your dining experience?
We offer a fine dining experience with a select menu that our residents have the ability to choose from. We also have a Coffee Shop at Edgewood Village that has a wide selection of alternative food options.
What is the process that takes place if a resident has a complaint or an issue they want addressed?
We connect them with our Family Relations Director, she is also able to help connect them with other support services, if needed.
What is your policy on communication with resident's families? How do you keep them updated about their loved ones' well-being?
At any time there is a change in condition or change in services, families are notified with the resident, patient centered care plans are evaluated annually and with any significant change.
Do you all offer short-term or respite stays? How much does this cost?
Yes, It depends on apartment size and what is available at the time of need. Typically, we offer a studio size apartment at $175/day, includes a fully furnished apartment, 3 meals, housekeeping & laundry services, care services, utilities including basic cable & wifi, emergency pendant, access to full life enrichment schedule, and offer medical transportation.
Are you all a pet-friendly community?
Yes, we have a pet policy, along with a non-refundable pet fee.
Are residents able to get Covid vaccination and flu vaccinations in the community?
Through our partnerships with Legacy Medical and Professional Pharmacy, yes.
Are residents able to age in place?
We offer a variety of activities for all personalities and likes, person centered care plans to ensure quality and health, we utilize partnerships of Legacy Medical and CaringEdge to ensure the best care possible through any unexpected circumstances. We strive to keep our residents happy, healthy and at “home” during their aging journey.
