Overview of Staff and Training
Our staff includes a variety of professionals who undergo comprehensive training. For staffing details, please reference the attached Uniform Disclosure Statement, pages 6 and 7.
Safety and Well-being Measures
We ensure the safety and well-being of our residents through secure building measures and a wide range of life enrichment programs, classes, and activities. For more information, please refer to our current newsletter linked below.
Transition Support Services
Our move-in coordinator assists families and residents before, during, and after move-in to ensure a smooth transition. Floor representatives and our Happy You’re Here program also play a key role in welcoming new residents.
Transportation Services
We offer transportation services for residents Monday through Friday within a 10-mile radius of the community for any place of business.
Dining Experience
Our dining room is open daily from 7am to 7pm. A sample menu is attached for your reference.
Resident Complaints and Issues
Our executive director maintains an open door policy. We also address questions and concerns through various committees and town hall meetings.
Cost of Living
For information on the cost of living in our community, please see the attached brochure starting on page 9. We also have a one-time community fee of $2,500.
Communication with Residents' Families
We maintain open communication with residents' families and hold scheduled ongoing care conferences to keep them updated about their loved ones' well-being.
Short-term or Respite Stays
We offer short-term or respite stays based on availability. Attached are our respite rates and information for your review.
Pet-Friendly Community
Yes, we are a pet-friendly community with a one-time pet fee of $550.
Covid and Flu Vaccinations
Onsite clinics for Covid and flu vaccinations have been offered in the past. Currently, residents typically go to their primary care clinics or local pharmacies. We provide transportation for those who need it.
Aging in Place
Residents are able to age in place. For services we provide and do not provide, please see the attached consumer statement.
Availability and Waiting List
We have limited availability depending on the level of care and apartment size preference. There is a waiting list for our memory care and enhanced care (higher acuity assisted living) options.
About Miramont Pointe
Miramont Pointe is licensed residential care, in addition to our memory care community on one floor of our building. We have served residents in our community for over 20 years. Rather than having a designated part of our community that is licensed Independent Living, we are licensed to offer additional services/assistance from all apartments. So in the case of someone’s needs changing in the future, he or she would not automatically have to transfer to a different part of the building in order to receive assistance, and the person would not need to contract with an outside agency to receive the added services.
Our Unique Structure
This is a bit of a different structure than a majority of other communities in the Portland area. Our licensure gives our residents the freedom and flexibility to remain as independent as able. From their given apartment, they are able to add on care services when needed or in the form of consistent packages of care — without automatically having to move to a different part of the community to receive the assistance.
