Don't worry about going to this place. There not very compassionate with residents who have pets and need them for emotional stability . Residents have recently been told that they have to get rid of there animals because either their in a semi-private room or they can't afford to get a private room in order to keep their own pets. They won't consider the resident and there feelings, what makes people think they will towards any of the new people. Don't waist your time coming here, it's not worth the heartache of loosing the only family member I know.
I was reading an article in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram about Mirabella Assisted Living trying to force one of their long time disabled residents to get rid of his two cats. This was even after he provided them a copy of his documentation from 2012 allowing him to have the cats. Since I was curious about this facility and their parent company, Sagora Senior Living, I went on their website and much to my amazement I found where they talk about the company's "true Xmas spirit". I thought their actions toward this long time resident is anything BUT the "true Xmas spirit". It sounds more like the Grinch. I wonder if this is just the tip of the iceberg on how they really view the welfare of their residents!!! Boy I wouldn't want anyone I know to go to this place!!
Mother is always busy and content. She now has a social aspect to her life that she didn't have before moving to Mirabella. The staff genuinely cares about her, and it shows in everything they do. The food is amazing, and she is taken care of in a way that I could not offer her at home. We are very pleased!
My 98 yr old father just moved in here and we could not be happier with the facilities and the care he is getting there! He is always talking about how good the food is, and I have seen the care and attention everyone gives to not only him but to all the other residents. His room is huge, the price is right, the staff is great (Thank you especially to Lou, James, Edwin, Shay, and all of his caretakers). If you are looking for a place you feel good about in regard to your parents well being, this is it.
This place looks great when you are an outsider looking in. However, they will do ANYTHING to get to to come for their facility. We were 100% honest about my mother's condition and they even evaluated and approved her to be there. Once we were supposed to start moving in, the facility wasn't even ready for her as promised. The care was a joke. If your relative can pretty much take care of themselves, this place will be fine. But if your family member needs actual care, don't bother bringing them here. They tried everything they could to attempt to find a way to have my mother kicked out during the COVID pandemic as she was too much to handle. LOL try finding a place for your loved one to be moved to during a pandemic. Not so easy. She constantly was not well groomed and her room smelled as no one could be bothered to really help her. I can't even imagine the lack of care she received when no one was able to see her during the pandemic. In the end they even gave her bed away that was GIVEN to her by another resident.
There were good and not so good about this place. Most importantly is the review on the people. Never have I had such sweet, kind and loving individuals who cared for my father. It was comforting to us to know the people responsible for providing care, actually cared about him. I simply cannot praise the young women who took such great care of my dad. The food- my father searched high and low to find somewhere with good food. Everything that was served had flavor; meat was tender, menu options were great and seldom repeated. He especially LOVED the fried catfish and the Swedish meatballs. Now the not so good. The building is tired and worn. Windows didn't seal. Plumbing was lacking in heat as well as pressure. We never got the a/c to work properly as the room felt hot all the time. Which leads to the maintenance. We turned in requests for service but never got anything fixed. The management team was not what we are used to. Took a while to respond and there was a disconnect between the leasing manager and everyone else. Sadly, my dad did not get to enjoy his life there for long but if we had to rent again, I'd get a room much closer to the front and would make sure all repairs were done in advance of moving in.
My father has been in Mirabella for 16 months now and I am continually amazed at the care he receives, the passionate workers, the cleanliness of the facility and the overall feel I get when I walk through the doors. He recently has declined in his health and mobility which I thought would require him to go into a nursing home but instead, they moved him closer to the nurses office, increased his level of care and are now doing everything for his needs. Carlette, the executive director has gone above and beyond on multiple occasions. Just a few names that have been wonderful are the nurses Edwin and Myra, aides Deja and Jessica, Patti at the front desk, and maintenance men Manny and Willard although there have been many others. I would definitely recommend this facility!
The place is lovely I was employed 2 years and enjoyed every moment of it the residents made it extremely fun! I never notice to much on the serpents who were in charge of the facility at the time their seems to be a lot of negative feedback but im telling you it was delightful!
Mirabella is wonderful, the Executive Director Christie has a heart of gold and leads a team that really cares. She personally encouraged my mother to join the ladies lunch outing last week and now mother has made new friends! Everyone is friendly and cares. My parents and I are very happy with Mirabella!!!
Mirabella is not all what it seems on the outside. I was an employee there and had to pretty much force myself to quit due to the lack of appreciation, the bullying, the favoritism that the staff received. The RA's took care of every resident there and when we were short of help , it was our job to find it not the scheduling staff coordinator. She would yell at you and tell you to find help yourselfs. The Executive Director was a fake "actress" whom smiles in your face so professional and caring but as soon as you are behind closed doors would switch it up quick like Dr Jekyll and Hyde. As far as the appearance of Mirabella, your parents or loved ones spend tons of money every month, and every apartment is falling apart no matter if they are renovating, roaches, termites, caved in ceilings due to leaks, a/c problems.... The list goes on . if your family member needs the extra care ,I would reconsider having them at Mirabella, only because the upper management doesn't care for your family, they care about the money.
Beautiful, clean and they take excellent care of my mother! Nurse Myra runs the memory care unit with compassion and she has wonderful nursing and communication skills! Mandy does a great job with the Memory Care Activities, she is very passionate about having fun with the residents and takes the time to make them feel special.
We are so grateful for the care and concern that we have been shown at Mirabella. Christie has gone above and beyond to help us work everything work out for our dad. Her professionalism, knowledge and compassion was very much appreciated. We Highly recommend Mirabella.
