after being told this was the best place by many, i was very disappointed in the care my mother received with the exception of a few. mom was admitted after broken hip surgery. shortly after she began getting horrible pains in her lower intestines every 5 to 10 minutes which was not properly addressed by staff. she was offered gingerale and tylenol. i questioned if she should be sent to hospital and was told they are testing her stool and there is nothing different hospital would do and she would just be sent back. this went on for 4 days. finally she was sent to hospital and was found to have end stage colon cancer with almost complete blockage, her pain was real!! i was told my mom was being a drama queen. it was hard to get an update from nurse and it seemed like you we re bothering them annoying them when asked. no one answers the nurse station phone. the night she was moved to hospital i was left a vague message to call nurse back. it took about half an hour of calling before i got someone on phone. my mother also told me prior to be being moved that night?early morning, a nurse took 6 pills in a spoon of applesauce and shoved in her mouth in a very mean way. this is horrible care especially when its your loved one. she passed away 5 days later in hospice.
This place is REALLY NICE! This is a Skilled Nursing Facility called Majestic Oaks where they offer services in "Memory Care", Long-term care, Rehab and Hospice. Each client/patient has assigned Case Manager and they have different doctors, psychologists, dietitians, occupational therapist attending the individual's need around the clock.
