Very bad place Very shocked and surprised the way that the main manager Emma was very rude to me. I was only working there three weeks and felt very harassed and scared to work there being there was a gang member , So I brought it to the managers attention and they told me to quit. I would never put my loved ones in a facility
Can't say enough good things about this place. My aunt moved here last year after my uncle passed away. At 92, she didn't want to live alone in her house. She also couldn't afford the huge cost of most assisted living facilities. Libby Bortz has very reasonable rates for those who qualify with lower income. The building is well-maintained and the inside is beautiful and spotless. Staff is always on hand if you have an issue, and they treat the residents with respect and care. My aunt's room is small, but adequate for her needs. A large bathroom has a shower that's easy for her to use with lots of hand bars. We got her a refrigerator for her room so she can have cold drinks and ice cream. There is a good sized closet and room for a bed/dresser/desk. They allow you to put up pictures or shelves so you can bring your memories with you. They have so many activities and the choice of food at the meals. My aunt is very happy and I'm glad we found Libby Bortz.
The Libby Bortz Center is very clean and the nurses aides are very efficient! My only reason for not the five stars is the food that they served my mom when I transported her from New Orleans. In my family, dumping a family member in a nursing home is a sin!!But the Libby Bortz Center is very good in their care. I felt guilty during at that time, but I just sold my home in Five Points and moved south to Littleton so my mom would more be more safe and I know friends that can take care of her while I'm at work. But the center is excellent in its care and also designed for people with low to moderate incomes and your timing has to spot on to get a temporary room. You will see an older TV in the room on my photo - it did have a remote control with it.
My dad moved into Libby Bortz Assisted Living Center after realizing he needed to stop working and living independently at 86. This was a huge move which he made completely on his own. He says this is his home now and he will never leave until the end. This is a beautiful clean facility that does not smell like many other senior homes. A month after moving into his room he had to have Open Heart Surgery. His motivation was the loved he had already received in his "new family at Libby Bortz". The love and amazing care given made him recover faster to get home. The staff sent him cards and called to see how he was doing. I could have never imagined a place to take such good care of my dad. Every Friday they come in and clean his room and take his laundry to be cleaned. They strip the bed and put clean sheets on the bed. When I say they clean, they really clean thoroughly. The pictures, blinds everything is spotless. Then the clothes are returned and folded very nicely. In the dining room they are given assigned seating which my dad loves as it feels like a family. The food is always delicious and the wait staff treats him very special. They make sure all are accounted for at meals which means a lot to our family. He is given a snack at bedtime so it is just more love given to check that he is doing fine. They have activities daily which he likes to attend including exercise class. They do it all from haircuts to a foot clinic and a in home doctors group comes in every few weeks. Libby Bortz is a shining example of what senior care should look like. Infact, they should be the model for our country. It shows how good management and a good price point can bring together people to love our seniors as they age. Aging with dignity and love is this wonderful facility.
Nice facility and staff friendly. Beautiful dining room and lobbies. Tenants speak highly of care and staff. Some concerns lately of sudden upset in staff. Tenants speak highly of management staff. The resident cats are a big hit and the tenants love to participate in the plan to slim them down. Many little areas to sit and read if quiet time desired. A staff member sets up beautiful xmas display each year that is gorgeous and enjoyed by all. Facility is clean and meals look yummy.
First of all I just can't say enough about the friendly and helpful staff at Libby Bortz who went out of their way to make the transition of my wife's 101 year old mother from her home to their facility so easy. I hope that if my time ever comes that I must move to an assisted living home that it will be Libby Bortz. My experience is that they strive to make it as close to living at home as possible and keep it as nice and comfortable for the residents as they can. It's a great place!!
Several people have reviewed that the food at Libby Bortz isn't good. In November 2018, they contacted with a food service provider that specializes in senior facilities. Since then the quality has improved (I've asked many residents and they are enjoying it.)Staff is attentive and the place is always spotless. Affordable and welcoming.
I will say that LBALC is a wonderful caring place. My mother has been there for 3 years +. The staff is careing and attentive. The building is clean , modern and well appointed. The dining room is nice and meals are done very well. the common aresa are very relaxing .The rooms are well laid out for semi independant living for seniors. The staff tries to keep the residents engagedin activities if they wish. A real gem in Littleton.
I will admit, my friend, whom is at the facility, has said the place is extremely clean and it looks like and feels like a hotel. However, and this is a big However, The food is terrible. At one time the food was great. However, , the chef was fired. Since he left, the food has gone down hill. The chicken is dry the meals are uneatable, for instance, one day they had corn beef and they weren't able to cut it with a knife. When the residents complained, they were told over and over we are working on it. I even called the director and spoke with her several months ago and still no improvement in the meals. I feel extremely frustrated because there is not much I can do. It's not like the resident can go to another location to eat. For many of these people, the only thing they have to look forward to is having a nice meal. Unfortunately, this is not the case at Libby Bortz Assisted Living. Here is an example of their choices Cheese Enchiladas with Spanish Rice and Refried Beans or Italian Seasoned Pork with Rice Pilaf and Snap Peas. It may sound good but the taste has a lot to be desired. My hope in writing this review, is that someone there will listen and start improving the quality of food.
