In terms of health inspection, the facility consistently excels, with a rating that not only places it in the upper half of all institutions, but also slightly exceeds the state average. However, the institution meets some challenges when it comes to the quality of care it provides. With a paltry 2-star quality rating, Lake Ridge Center finds itself within the lowest 20% of all facilities. This rating is significantly lower than the state average and it's clear that this is an area where the nursing home must focus on improving.

Despite this, the center sees a better performance regarding the staff vaccination rate, placing in the top half of facilities. It ranks in the upper 20% of facilities, with a 0.0% rate of residents having a catheter inserted and left in place, compared to 1.97% state-wide. Despite its underperformance in regards to the pneumococcal vaccine, the facility records a higher flu vaccination rate than the state average, standing at 96.99% compared to the state's 94.73%.

However, it falls in the bottom 10% for short-stay resident outpatient emergency department visits, reporting a high 35.4% compared to the state's 12.09%. Notwithstanding, it earns a place in the top 10% of establishments in relation to the low percentage of short-stay residents re-hospitalized after nursing home admission. My grandfather was placed here for care while dealing with his Alzheimer's. Before he died, his favorite bolo tie which my parents bought for him years ago, his genuine silver belt buckle, and his wallet were stolen. A few articles of his clothing were also taken. I strongly advise against bringing your loved ones here.
